Someone has leverage that we aren't privy too.

But, IMO, Greer's name is already mud so he should do the right thing instead of sticking like glue to the husband's side.

Greer's name is so MUD that I wouldn't scrape him off my shoe. I would throw my SHOES AWAY, at an undisclosed location. Remember this... Florida Voter did NOT vote for Judge Greer. I said "no".

This case, as well as others in the past, illustrates how important judges are whether they are appointed or elected. Getting information on some elected judges in order to cast an informed vote is difficult. I commend you on your 'no'.

Has anyone found the motion to disqualify Greer online yet?

That asked, the guardianship motion is unreal, hard to believe anyone reading that through would rule to keep him in place. Is this motion before Greer or the fed judge?

And ew, check this out, item #32 -

The conflict of interest arising from the fact that Schiavo will inherit Terri’s estate has not decreased as the guardianship fund has dwindled. There are other valuable assets of the estate, including Terri’ s engagement and wedding rings that Schiavo has already appropriated to his own use by making jewelry for himself [Deposition of Michael Schiavo in the pending case, Nov. 19, 1993, at p. 80.]

The man should be strung up by his ring fingers.

I've been out all day and just trying to catch up on everything. Kimmie, hope you are OK.

Hoping and praying things are taking a turn in Terri's favor. More and more people finding out about it, at any rate. Maybe the public pressure will prove too much for Schiavo, Greer, et al.

I've just been reading in a hurry, trying to catch up, as I have not had much time to spend online the last few days. But if I read correctly back a few posts, M. Schiavo is trying to push for a hearing BEFORE September 11th? He must be really getting in a panic, if so. Let's hope.

Why is Crow standing for Terri at this point in time. The issue has been common knowledge in their community since 1990.

I was surprised to come across ...this which has been on Terri's website.

In conjunction with Attorney Pat Anderson, co-counsel Attorney Larry Crow filed three (3) motions in the probate court this past week.

Prior to Judge Greer's Tuesday decision to have Terri's feeding terminated, Attorney Crow filed a petition to have Michael Schiavo removed as Terri's legal guardian. Attorney Crow (who has 17 years of probate court experience) listed numerous Florida Statutes that Michael Schiavo had violated acting as Terri's legal guardian.

Late Friday afternoon, August 10, 2001, Judge Greer denied the petition.

Attorney Crow also filed a motion requesting an expedited hearing on Michael Schiavo's improprieties while acting as Terri's legal guardian.

Judge Greer denied the request and will not conduct any hearing regarding this issue.

In addition,  Attorney Crow filed a motion requesting a hearing to allow independent medical experts to have access to Terri. The basis of this motion is that Michael Schiavo is or has refused Terri any independent medical examination to verify that Terri is in a "Persistent Vegetative State" as testified by Schiavo's doctor.

The motion states that all the medical experts are willing to examine Terri at no cost to the guardianship estate and the examination will not cause Terri any harm. A hearing was requested to determine why Schiavo will not permit Terri to be medically examined. 

Judge Greer denied the request and will not conduct any hearing regarding this issue.

Yes, it certainly looks as though he is running. His motion was filed after the Motion to Disqualify. In my opinion, he's trying to 'ram this thing through' before Greer is out -- if he is out. I'm also afraid that perhaps if Terri's best interests are represented, Schiavo will take matters into his own hands.

They were the only Fla. news outlet to respond with more than a simple auto-response to pleas for further coverage and investigation into Terri's case

Schiavo is panicking and wants the feeding tube removed BEFORE the Judge is disqualified or recuses himself. The whole point of recusal is so that Terri gets her day in Court! The Judge recusing himself AFTER starvation begins doesn't do Terri any good.

Husband wants the starvation date to be moved up without due process. There are 2 motions. Husband's Emergency Motion to the 2nd dca to expedite removal of the tube and Terri's attorney's Amended Motion to Disqualify Judge Greer, I think that's in Pinellas Circuit Court.

I can remember a time when this was called a 'scoop' and there would be a mad race to scoop the other media on further developments. I suppose this isn't newsworthy.
