Forgive me if this, from Baynews website, has been posted... Terri Schiavo's parents want judge in the case to step aside

Tuesday, September 9th Terri's husband Michael has been at odds with her parents for years. There is a new development in the case of Terri Schiavo.

Terri’s parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, have filed an emergency motion to have Judge George Greer removed from the case. The 39-year-old Pinellas County woman’s husband Michael Schiavo is fighting them on the issue.

Terri has been in what some doctors call a persistent vegetative state for the past 13 years. Her parents and husband have been at odds over whether or not to remove her feeding tube or keep it in place.

The Schindlers want Judge Greer to step aside. A hearing is scheduled for Thursday and Greer is expected to make a decision on the matter at that time. The Schindlers want Greer to recuse himself from the case because they feel he can’t make a fair decision. They point to some comments the judge has made to the media in the past as proof.

UPDATE ON BREAKING. They want Judge Greer to order the feeding tube to be removed BEFORE HE RECUSES HIMSELF. Per wfla radio 970 right now.

What's the point then? So, this is like a chess game. Judge Greer should be disqualified before he can recuse himself.

rhetorical -How could not that be an injustice for a Judge in trouble to finish things up before he recuses himself?

They mentioned the "feeding tube" this news break but no mention of Terri except her name at the beginning.

Since Felos let slip that he and Judge Greer have been talking (at the least), and that he is being paid out of funds earmarked for Terri's medical expenses, shouldn't he be made to pay back the money to the medical fund?

How sick is this? If Judge Greer orders Terri's feeding tube yanked before he either recuses himself or is disqualified, he should be jailed. His bias and criminal conduct will be right in everybody's faces!

The ironies abound in this case. If a screenwriter brought this story into a producer's office, he'd be shown the door. It's just too incredible. Yet, sadly, it's real.
