A Child Murderer Scheduled for Execution in Texas

Convicted murdered Perry Allen Austin is scheduled to be executed by the State of Texas September 8, 2003. Austin was sentenced to death after pleading guilty to the murder of 8 year-old David Karim Kazmouz in 1992.

David Kazmouz disappeared after leaving his neighbor’s yard in the direction of his home in the 6400 block of Leader on August 19, 1992. Houston police and the FBI conducted an extensive investigation. Several concerned citizens assisted in searches for the boy without result. David’s skeletal remains were found on April 24, 1993, in a wooded area about six miles from his home.

Although Austin was always considered a suspect in Kazmouz's death, it wasn't until January 2001 that he confessed from prison. During the initial investigation, police discovered Austin was having sex with a 14-year-old girl. He pleaded guilty and has been serving a 30-year sentence for sexual assault of a child. In 1995, another 20 years was added to his sentence for stabbing an inmate. He also has a lengthy disciplinary prison record that includes assaulting guards.

"Society can no longer handle him. We are through," Davidson said. "Because Karrem took from him, he was going to take from Karrem. He took his little brother," Davidson told the jury.

David was a very personable, friendly little boy. He was well-known on our street and was liked by everyone. Our Sharpstown neighborhood hasn’t been the same since he was murdered. I’m thankful I live in a State which destroys those who are convicted of murdering a child.

Why did it take 11 years? It shouldn't have taken 11 days to execute this thug.

Lawyers set in our state houses to create more work for lawyers. Meanwhile, the taxpayers are paying for all the court costs and prison costs. This murderer should have been exterminated immediately.

I wish i lived in a state that would punish those bastards, rather than feel bad for them. In all fairness to the citizens of MA, we did vote to re-install the death penalty twice, and both times the state legislature said that citizens oppinions don't count.

Thank God that child murderer is going to killed.

This is why laws like the 3 strike rule are so good. Without them, killers like these continue killing/raping for years.

May this perpatrator fall on his knees, pleading mercy from God in Christ, repent, find mercy, give back to society before his demise and enter heaven than go to the other place where there is no love, freindship and no food or water. No human being is desined for the other place save they don't want the forgiveness God in Christ offers. Pray for this man's salvation.

Remember, that Saul, who became the Apostle Paul, was on murderers alley, before Christ stopped him. Maybe God in His mercy will reach down and talk with this man. So pray for your relative in humanity that needs grace and forgiveness just as we all do.

Too bad that he can't be dragged, kicking and screaming, by five burly guards into the execution chamber, the lair of Old Sparky.

Then he would be forcibly strapped into the chair, an electrode strapped to his leg, and a cap with an electrode strapped to his head.

All the time he is crying and begging for mercy.

Then they make him wait, five, ten, fifteen minutes.....wondering how much it is going to hurt, and imagining what hell is like.

In reality he will be drugged before he gets strapped to a gurney and he will slowly slip away:"going to sleep".

For what he did he ought to fear his punishment, and how much he is going to suffer.

I pray for the little boy's family.

Per the link - "Pretty much everything they said about me is true," Austin told the panel. "I'm violent, mean . . . Sometimes I have no conscience . . . I've been like this all my life. I'm not about to change." ... Then he said there were no mitigating factors, "no reason for killing him (Kazmouz)." Davidson told the jury that Austin had spent only three years of his adult life interacting in society. And in that time he had raped his sister, robbed his sister and mother, sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl and killed Kazmouz. "That is what he has done in the three years we have let him out in this society," Davidson said.

Good riddance.

Assuming his guilt, I --

1. Hope for his sake that he makes peace with God through Jesus Christ; and...

2. Hope for society's sake that he gets to see Him soon.

Perry Allen Austin confessed to this murder in 02. This execution actualy came pretty fast. But, now they need to hurry up and finish it. Perry feels no remorse, and he never will. He will never go to heaven, it's straight to hell. I just wish he would suffer a little more before he goes. But right now he has a mesg on "Alive" an end executions site asking for people to write him, describing what he looks like. But i don't get to see David again. Kill that s.o.b. now!!!!!!!!
