In the 1980s there was an estimated 300,000 to 400,000 illegals living in the USA to be given amnesty. Now post-NAFTA they estimate 20 million illegals are in the USA. They estimate over 1 million a year now cross the border --- not to work here temporarily ---- which used to be done quite often but who plan to stay here forever.
