Prepare to get whacked on the shins by the Schwarzenpubbies.

I am not a Schwarzenpubbies (cool nickname), but I do have a problem with McClintock. My problem with Tom McClintock is that he is a professional politician and never worked a day in his life outside of government service. The day he graduated from college he worked for a political hack, then ran for office a couple of years later. Once in office he never turned back, he has been living his life off of sweat of taxpayers and donors ever since.

False.

From 1992-1994, McClintock served as Director of the Center for the California Taxpayer, a project of the National Tax Limitation Foundation.

In 1995, McClintock was named Director of Economic and Regulatory Affairs for the Claremont Institute's Golden State Center for Policy Studies, a position he held until his return to the Assembly.

Right on! Simon was a businessman. That's why he could stand on principle and back out of the race, when he saw his involvement would only hurt. To a professional politician like McClintock, that's impossible to do. His personal ambition trumps the best interests of all. It's the same reason why guys like McClintock don't quit after endorsing term limits.

He's not the only one. Thousands of others feed at the public trough. Give me a break.
