It's unclear why Simon's drop out strengthen's the Schwarzenegger camp, since Simon's supporters don't seem likely to end up in a pro-abortion, anti-gun, pro-tax candidate's campaign.

That's an outlandish statement to make.

McClintock was the top GOP vote-getter in California, 2002. He is now the only legititmate conservative with a chance to win the recall election.

Like Bustamonte, Schwarzenegger is a liberal. Unlike Bustamonte, who has a D next to his name, Schwarzenegger has an R next to his name. The R stands for RINO. Schwarzenegger is a liberal RINO.

Here's the story:

August 12, 2003 Playing two hands at once Ever since Cruz Bustamante entered the race, it's been assumed that California's Indian tribes were going to pool their money and do independent expenditures on his behalf, expensive ads that get around the $21,000 limit on contributions. Now I am hearing rumblings that the Indians might think about helping Cruz in a more creative way as well. If they spent, say, $4 million on behalf of state Sen. Tom McClintock, the most conservative Republican in the race, they might pump McClintock's numbers up while hurting Arnold and not harming Cruz a bit. Remember, Cruz needs a split GOP vote to win. That would be one way to get it. Besides, as a libertarian-leaning Republican, McClintock is a natural ally of the Indians anyway.

Well, we DO KNOW what Davis has done SUCCESSFULLY in the last election:

McClintock as "Useful pawn" of Davis? Last year, Gray Davis spent millions boosting Bill Simon's primary candidacy to beat him in the general election. This year, Gray Davis is pulling the same stunt with Tom McClintock. According to the Sacramento Bee, Davis intends on playing "two hands at once". Specifically, he plans to leverage his relationship with California's Indian tribes to aid McClintock. The plan would be to "pump McClintock's numbers up while hurting Arnold and not harming Cruz a bit". If the GOP is a house divided agianst itself, Cruz Bustamante will cruise to victory on October 7. We should be wary of playing right into Davis's hands...again.

I am so sick and tired of the Democrats helping the weak Republican Candidates, as they did for Dole and for also Simon. Now they are helping McClintock. Too bad. Personally, I'm sick of their manipulative tactics. It's getting under my skin. But what is even worse is the stupid element wihtin the Republican Party who seem immune to any perception of what the Democrats are really up to.

Wasn't that in a normal election where is was him a Republican against another candidate a democrat and maybe some 3rd party candidate? This is much different this time. The Republicans have several candidates to split their vote among and seemed to be indicating they will. If it was him only against Cruz then that's another race but it's not...

Right! Applying the "conservative purity test" has been great for Kalifonia. EVERY STATEWIDE OFFICE LOST TO A DEMONRAT! ZERO INFLUENCE! ZERO SAY! ZERO!

It always amazes me how some on the right are as delusional as most on the left. Such a disconnect from reality tells me they have they same serious thinking disorder as most liberals.

Arnold is not as bad as the purists say, and considering the voters of Kalifornia, is the best conservatives can hope for.

There's a saying on Wall Street... "Bulls make money, Bears make money, Pigs get slaughtered."

Those who are greedy ( the Pigs ) usually get NOTHING! Sad that some conservatives have this "all or nothing" mindset. (and henceforce... wind up getting slaughtered)
