If the press "cared" about the Iraqi people, they wouldn't attack their liberators daily [rant]

Amb. Bremer faced a sea of self-righteous press accusers again this morning. They still clearly haven't bothered to do their homework. They exhibit a shocking daily indifference to the years of physical, mental and spiritual abuse and genocide suffered by the Iraqi people. They seem to have no concept of time, no patience, no sense - expecting insta-nation with insta-happy people after over 30 years of neglect and oppression. They look at brave, compassionate men and women working and DOING daily and see 'evildoer-military'. They look at well-dressed, sensible-sounding, powerful TALKERS, who spend most of their time accusing the DOERS, and see saviors.

Any idiot can criticize. This press has crossed the line. If they look at our honorable military and see the enemy, they are my enemy.

The press has gone absolutely insane. I've watched the various evening news network programs over the last few days, and I can't believe President Bush's approval rating is still in the high fifties low sixties. It's just a constant parade of "everything has gone wrong, we're going to lose, President Bush is an idiot." The only way to shut their mouths is to make it work, which I pray everyday we can.

You know darn well what the press cares about. They care about one thing only, and that's to attack President Bush. If I where a paid shill for the Democrat party, like they are, I would do the same.

There's another way, M.C....spread the word. Pass on letters from the troops, CENTCOM reports and military news. The troops are asking for our help informing the people. I update my homepage daily. We have the internet, access to primary news sources and e-mail. We can help.

I know. See #5. Bypass the press and take the news to the people. We did in Florida in 2000 and 2002. There are people around the world hunting for the truth re. Iraq from other sources, many with loved ones on the ground in Iraq who are telling them a completely different version of the situation on the ground. The press is so isolated in their little world, they seem to forget that we have other ways to find the NEWS.

Much of the "media" is biased and antiAmerican.

You can hear it in their words (when terrorists are called "freedom fighters" and "militants").
You can see it in their smiles (when American patriots are KIA)

The media looked at children murdered with Iraqi WMD and called them "vitamins and health clinics".

The media is so out of touch that I've stopped watching the "news" shows---cable, too. I can't listen to these idiots any more.

I get my news from the internet, log on to FR and scan about six newspapers. It's my version of "fair and balanced".

Thank you, Diogenesis. The press needs that badly. The world needs to know the full history of the Iraqi people's suffering and the nature of the enemies our awesome troops face daily - with help from the courageous Iraqi people.

Q:  Mr. Dhia, I want to go back to the Saddam tape.  If it turns out that the tape is authentic, how much of a setback will that be to U.S. and Iraqi efforts to convince the public he is gone and not coming back?

     Dhia:  In all honesty, I don't think there were an effort to convince Iraqi public he was dead.  We said from the beginning we don't know if he was dead or not.  The perception of Iraqis, he is not dead and his sons are not dead.  For Iraqis, his departure was the best thing probably happened in their life for the last 34 years.

     The tape itself, I watched Al Jazeera yesterday and they had a program about the tape.  And there were eight Iraqis called, if I remember correctly.  Seven of them, they said, "We really hate this tape; why you played it?  It's really hurt our feeling to listen to it.  We don't want to hear this guy again.  We despise him.  We hate him."  Emad Dhia, director, Iraqi Reconstruction and Development Council, Mon. We heard the exact same thing from the press when we went into Afghanistan, then again when we began the Iraq war and it just goes on and on with these people.

CNN and the New York Times produce nothing but one negative Iraq story after another. And when there is no bad news to report they are hunting down the grieving parents of some soldier killed to interview.etc. etc.

I think one of the reasons FOX News has moved to the top in the ratings is because Americans in general are sick of the constant negativity and American bashing.

The leftist American Press is the propoganda arm of the out of power democRats. If you think the press is bad now, just wait a few months.

As the election approaches the noise level will become deafening as they try again to force some liberal on the American Public.

Thank you, bert. We have a small army sending out the daily positive news, letters from the troops, etc. It's best to forward the news to sympathetic groups - family friendly, church, veterans groups - homeschoolers, as well as neighbors. They will pass it on. The press isn't listening. I know. They know.

Not news. Simply a place to comment on the press treatment of the troops and the war effort.
