As if we didn't already know THAT was coming.
I'd heard last night that he was going to be suspended.

And might I say GOOD, that kid has definately been more trouble than he's been worth for us.

This aint over by a long-shot.
The former teacher told the NCAA grades had been changed by someone over her. There will be a full investigation. IMO, Clarrett will not play again. He will be sitting in his couch playing Madden2004 or be in Canada this coming season.

The NCAA is hooting itself in the foot. The first thing he is going to do is go pro. But wait!! The NCAA and the NFL have a buddy buddy deal where only men three years removed from highschool can play. But Claret is only two years outta high school. Big problems, Claret is going to sue for lost wages because of the NFL/NCAA buddy buddy agreement. When he wins, the flood gates will be opened up and highschoolers will skip college and go into the NFL like Basketball, Hockey, Baseball. The one great NFL will turn into the mess that the other major sports are. Thanks NCAA!!!

His biggest offense was the police report he filed after his car was burglarized. His car? It turned out he had a long term, deferred payment lease on the vehicle from a local dealership. The car wasn't stolen, but he filed a police report claiming that $6,000+ in private property was stolen from the car, including some 300 CDs, plus stereo equipment and one of the two television screens. $6,000 in stolen goods? He's an amateur athelete, and NCAA immediately wanted to know where he got the stuff. Then he claimed, no, the stuff wasn't worth as much as he told the police. He lied to the police? Yep, filed a false police report.

And if this had happened at Penn State, he would have been kicked off the team, for far less. Recall Curtis Enis missing the bowl game because of a new suit.

Why isn't he banned from collegiate competition? False police report on a sham car deal are 2 separate reasons why he should be banned, regardless of if the other stuff is true(but where there smoke there is fire. He's as innocent as poor ol' framed Clinton...)
