Not necessarily. There are "compassionate" conservatives here on FR who say "its only property" as if the thief's life outweighs the value of my Right to keep my property.

All of my property I attained via trading pieces of my life for things I felt I wanted. Stealing said property is akin to stealing pieces of my life.

I hold a rather dim view of thieves and those that try to protect them and justify their actions.
