Quick! Someone fetch the rabid Bustamante errrrr I mean McClintock supporters we have to make sure that he's not allowed to speak!

There are 1 million more registered Democrats in California than than Republicans. Most of the independents are liberal groups as well. A vote for McClintock is a vote to make the GOP 2 time losers in California. Good job.

A vote for McClintock is a vote to make the GOP 2 time losers in California.

In 1992 and 1996, Republicans went with moderates George Bush and Bob Dole, and guess what, we ended up as 2 time losers.

Take a look at the polls. The whole Schwarzenegger candidacy was based on the idea that he'd instantly overwhelm Bustamante. And it's not happening. So now you guys are whining for us to get out of the race.

Why doesn't YOUR guy get out of the race? Then McClintock would get his 22% of the vote and be the front-runner.

If we compromise principles just to get Schwarzenegger in, we have no principles.

If Bustamante gets in, in two years he'd be voted out and we could get a McClintock in...

However, if we get Scwarzenegger in, he could win two more 6-year terms as a RINO. Good job to you.

"There are 1 million more registered Democrats in California than than Republicans."

So I guess that means that we Republicans should just not bother and stay home, right?

And if Simon would get out of the way, McClintock would trounce Arnold?

Do you want an actor in Sacramento or an executive with years of political experience? The choice is yours.

Quick, a vote for arnold is a vote for someone with policy ideas equivalent to Teddy Kennedy. Boy, that is a great idea, let's all jump off that bridge b/c he claims to be a republican. Who is the lemming here?

Quick! Someone fetch the rabid Bustamante errrrr I mean Arnie supporters we have to make sure that McClintock's not allowed to run!

I heard McClintock say on the radio the other day that when the time comes, he's ready to accept Arnies endorsement. Sounds like he's not bowing out.

Your only hope to keep the vote from being split is to get Arnie to bow out. You guys who insist on voting for Arnie are going to get Bustamove elected.

It's all your fault!!!! It's all your fault!!!! It's all your fault!!!!

If we can't support someone who is really a conservative then what exactly has the Republican party become? If we have to vote for someone who is in all respects a liberal because he sports an R by his name whats the point.

In case anyone missed it, Hugh Hewitt explained it eloquently,i.e. in plain English, but it probably won't make a dent in the thinking of ideologues.

Hugh Hewitt: Dear Tom McClintock supporter ...

Two-time losers?! Try Dems elected governor (twice), lt. gov. (twice), both U.S. senators (multiple times), the majority of U.S. House seats, all other elected executive-branch state offices, huge majorities in the state senate and assembly, plus baskets full of appointed commissioners, judges, etc., and even more baskets full of county and local elected officials. Haven't seen so many Leftist Dems infesting one state's government from top to bottom since the Great Depression and the days of FDR.

And still the dogmatists on self-defined "pure" Conservatism reject any candidate who doesn't toe the line 100% on every single one of their issues. To them, the English language doesn't ever use the words "coalition" and "building" in the same phrase.
