Nothing to report for Gilligan's summer, unless you count enjoying the new air conditioner I bought him.

I had a mental lapse yesterday and sent my resume to Best Friends for a manager's position in Houston. I swore on a stack of kibble I would never work in that field again. ACK! What do I do if they hire me??

My dog refuses to go outside to enjoy the summer unless she has to .. I think she is spoiled from the AC

Actually, I do not do summers well. While I love to succumb to the heat and kinda snooze the day away in a kitty stupor on my very own screened-in porch, I suffer a lot.

My gorgeous medium-long hair goes through a horrible shedding process, irritating as it comes off in hunks, and I try to hurry it.

With the almost daily rain this Spring and Summer, washing off the flea spray around it, some fleas got into my porch.
Mom forgot I am allergic to the flea collar she bought, and I got my revenge. Stayed in the house and HID until I could work it off.

Should have heard all that frantic, "Where is my Binky Boy?!" as she searched under beds and in closets.

Ha! Know those sofas where the end seats glide out? Mom has a chair to match that does it, too, and I cleverly scooted under it and perched atop the mechanism!

Took her forever to figure out the only place she hadn't looked - and boy, was she frantic tryin' to figure how to get me out!
Payback was sweet.

All that is over now, and I'm back to demanding my food be served on the porch more'n the kitchen. Although my favorite pasttime is herding The Folks to the refrigerator where the Fancy Feast is kept. Gotta keep up my royal standards.

I sound kinda 'demanding,' but you should see me when I settle in Mom's lap at the computer and watch her 'talk' to other humans at The Finest.
Speaking of that, I love to talk (and sing!) back to her, and have her tell me the story of How Binky Was Adopted.....will tell you about that some day soon, but I gotta settle back down and get to snoozin' again - -

Hope there isn't any more thunder today - I'm terrified of that, and run in and stay near Mom. She doesn't mind that I am not very brave.

My folks don't go away very much because they can't stand to be away from me for long. I make Mom sad when she takes me to the boarding place so they can go somewhere else. She thinks I hate it because I tremble in the car all the way, but there are lots of friends to talk to when I get there.

The first time I went, this lady asked Mom if I knew how to use a doggie door. What? Does she think I'm stupid? I could tell right away there was something more fun on the other side of that contraption, and the minute they closed the door to my room, I checked it out. Yep! Some cute little Spaniel was outside, just the other side of that fence.

I always make new friends, but I still don't let Mom and Dad know I'll be okay when they go off and leave me. I just got home from 'there' again Sunday, and I can tell it will be a while before I have to go back again.
