You are right not all Californian are lefties. Most of them move up here to escape. I didn't mean that as a slur to those moving here. I find a huge percent of them to be wonderful people who I welcome with open arms. They are often the hardest workers on Republican campaigns because they know what happened in California.

Myopic has a few meanings, the first of which refers to eyesight;nearsightedness.

In a general way,the use of the word " myopic " also means shortsightedness, but in the manner one views things; not sight.

The " to heck with others " was an implication, in your post. You are in a mostly Republican state and you don't want anyone else ( inferred ) to emmigrate into YOUR backyard, so to speak,from LIBERAL/LEFTY California; not evenm if they are attempting to escape that and go someplace more in keeping with there own positions; i.e. Idaho.

I believe that Furman is a Republican. I may be incorrect; however, he's been on Sean Hannity's radio show many times and they never fight.Sean usually "fights " with Libs, so I am assuming that Mark isn't one.
