Perhaps we should have started educating kids about this a long time ago...

The study found that 25 male college students in a three-county region of North Carolina have been diagnosed with HIV since 2001, and nearly 90% of those students were black men whose infections resulted from homosexual sex.

90% were black MEN. I wonder what of the remaining percent were also MEN. That would put the percentage of infection based on male to male sex above 90%.

At the beginning of last year, the CDC reported approximately 362,827 persons in the United States living with AIDS. Of these, 42% were whites, 37% were blacks, 20% were Hispanics, less than 1% were Asians and Pacific Islanders, and less than 1% were American Indians and Alaskan Natives. Of the 282,250 men (13 years or older) living with AIDS, 57% were men who had homosexual sex, 24% were intravenous drug users, and 9% were exposed through heterosexual contact. Of the 76,696 adult and adolescent women with AIDS, 59% were exposed through heterosexual contact and 38% were exposed through intravenous drug use. And according to the CDC, at the end of 2001 there were 3,817 children living with AIDS in America.*

Also, note that in the national stats very few men are exposed heterosexually, but that far more women are. This is testimony to the fact that men deposit a blood product, semen, with the women, and that male exposure to a blood product in women is not impossible, but rare. (Hetero sex during menstruation?)

The high percentages of infection via intravenous drug use compared with the intense micro-study of NC students, suggests that many of the IV claimants were actually infected via male on male sex but were afraid to admit the same.

There is little follow-up in these self-reports, and generally, the word of the patient is accepted.

Especially gays. Yet they continue to spread it. And the rest of us continue to pay to clean up after them.

Duh most of the HIV case came after homosexual sex.

We have known about the Darwin effect in the Gay population for over two decades now.

Sorry - gays are not the only ones spreading this disease. There are many heterosexuals who have it, who spread it, there are many children.

Once something like this gets going - it creeps into every part of society. That is why my statement.

P.S. If AIDS was spreading equally among normal people, then I would think maybe you are right. But since mostly homosexuals have it and spread it, (because anal sex is an excellent way to spread it, and because homosexuals are wildly promiscuous compared to the vast majority of heterosexuals), therefore you are wrong.

You are the ignorant one. Why do you think doctors and nurses wear masks, gloves? How do you think children get it? Why do we now have biohazard containers for all needles? Aids is spread by bodily fluids and is contagious from ANY ONE that has it - no matter their sexual persuasion. True it is more common in the gay community but an infected person can spread it to anyone that comes in contact with their blood or bodily fluids through a cut. This means that contact sports are more dangerous the more people have HIV. Young people are more at risk due to the sexual freedom with more and more partners.

You prefer to hate gays rather than dealing with the problem. Hate gays all you want if it makes you feel better. I'm sure they can take it. After all they have plenty of experience with life's short changes and hatreds.

I prefer to find cures, and protections because entrusting the safety of my family to the ability of all people to act safely does not appeal to me.

GRIDS is a horrible disease. The cure for it is to stop homosexual behavior and let the reservoir die out.

GRIDS consumes a far greater share of medical research dollars than it deserves. Dollars that should go to serious disease threats such as heart disease and cancer. Cure the things that are not self-inflicted and that will help the most people.

Since GRIDS is primarily a 'gay' disease seeking the cure only helps 'gays', not normal people. Since they infected themselves voluntarily, they should deal with the problem themselves

Proof that the answer is to shun and quarentine 'gays' until the disease dies out. The we need to return to traditional values and sexual mores. That is, stay virginal until you get married and don't practice homosexual behavior.

GRIDS is a self curing problem if we isolate the bad actors.

BTW, I don't hate gays. I hate what they do and I hate how they refuse to see truth. I do pray for them to be saved and changed and healed, however, if they refuse to repent and be changed then it is far better for us all if they die before they drag others into the cesspool of homosexuality (and then to hell) with them.
