From what I've read, it seems that over 70% of black households are headed by single black females. It also seems that black males did exceptionally well academically in the 50s and 60s when more were raised in traditional two-parent family homes. Is it possible that there is some kind of phenomena occurring within black, female-headed homes that significantly contributes the problem of low academic achievement in black males?
