He wants to continue the outrageous social spending we have in this State. How does that make him an "economic and fiscal conservative"? Yeah... I know... He's read Friedman; but, it doesn't seem to have rubbed off on him by much.

The way some people believe everything Limbaugh has to say just amazes me. He is just an entertainer who trys to attract the largest possible audience by making the most contreversial statements. That is his way of making money.
I applaud his ability to make money but I give his statements the same credibilty that I give to any other entertainer, absolutely none. If he weren't on the radio he would probably be selling used cars.

Ya know, serial carpetbaggers like Rush should STFU about California's politics. Actually Limbaugh is right and coments like like have nothing to do with carpet bagging.
I think you should shut your mouth about this.
Having said this, he is still better than any democrat.

He wants to continue the outrageous social spending we have in this State.Define "continue the outrageous social spending we have in this State."
What I've seen is that he wants to quit wasting the monies we spend on stupid stuff and focus instead on things like up-to-date textbooks in the schools. Of course, teaching our children that the USSR went out of business in 1991 (four years after their texbooks were published) is probably outrageous for some folks.

Conservatives pure enough for that loudmouth blowhard don't do well in California. All right smartie pants, which republican faction DOES do well in in California?
Call Senator Campbell and ask him (34%, got fewer % of women vote than prolife Lungren did in 98) Call Senator Fong, call Senator Seymour, call Senator Huffington, how about Insurance Commissioner Mendoza, or Controller Barrales.
They are all very moderate "fiscal conservatives" who were supposed to be the future of the Republican Party in California. They will side with you on how conservatives can't win.... what? They all LOST big time?...never mind.

LOL! There are so many quotes from Arnold in this article, that it must be true! Arnold will be the next CA govinator. He will draw Republicans of all stripes, except those who are more concerned about the political purity of their candidates, than winning, i.e. that's what got us 4 more years of Davis in the first place, thank you very much. Arnold will also draw independents and Demorats of all stripes.
The recall is about the pocketbook, that is the issue to worry about in this recall.

... Schwarzenegger is, first and foremost, an economic and fiscal conservative ...That's what he says and it sounds real good. So far, Arnald has talked about straightening out California and making it more business friendly. That's fine. However, Arnald is a self proclaimed social liberal and wants to get the California budget out of the red, so all the social welfare programs will have enough funding to run and no services will be further jeaprodized. That is not the agenda of a fiscal conservative and that's what Rush is tlaking about.
Getting rid of Boy Davis is the #1 priority, but don't expect Arnald, if he wins, to cut taxes and reduce spending in California.

serial carpetbaggers like Rush should STFU about California's politics. Since Rush's program got it's start in Sacramento, it seems to me that he may know a little bit more about Calif. politics then you give him credit for.

Actually Limbaugh is right and coments like like have nothing to do with carpet bagging. You're right on the latter part.
They have nothing to do with carpet-bagging, and everything to do with keeping his ratings up.
We've tried electing "pure" conservatives out here. It doesn't happen.

Does this sound like "the Next Reagan," as some people are calling Arnold? Hardly. This guy may be the next actor elected governor of California, but that's where the similarity between him and Ronaldus Magnus end. Who ever said Arnold was like Reagan?

If you don't like it Rush, then run for governor yourself. It's wiiiiide open.
Costs just over $3000 to file, and you only need a few signatures that I'm sure you could pick up in a day.
It's an unprecedented recall election. Stop looking a gift horse in the mouth.
File to run or go shag some balls, Rush.

As long as conservatives don't throw thee votes
away on Arnold.
If all the true conservatives unite behind McClintock
he will win!
To: Poohbah
Let's see now... In the NBC parking lot, he babbled about providing free day care, free senior care, and "taking care of everyone". He wants businesses to return to the state so that they can be properly taxed to pay for all of these goodies. His only foray into politics thus far involved raising money for schools to spend on everything but those boring, old textbooks.
Oh, but he's got that little "R" behind his name so that makes it all right.

Arnold can win. Here we go again. If WINNING is all that matters, then we should call Bill Clinton and ask him to run as a Republican for California Governor. Forget about all that idealogical purity. HE CAN WIN! All that matters is that there is an R on his voter registration card.
For the issues that matter to the Republican grassroots that get out and make things happen, Arnold is on the worng side of everything. He is pro-abortion. He is a gun grabber, he is a homo-lover.
What? You say he's a fiscal conservative? He sponsored the big government Prop 49 to provide government after school day care for kids -- a multi-billion dollar bond boondoggle. I heard him interviewed this morning. he said the children come first. They get first dibs on the state treasury. He wants more teachers, more money for classrooms more, more, more.... The CTA are going to LOVE this guy. (I didn't hear anything about actually teaching them to read)
I see him going down in flames just like Riordan did. Let's get Bill Clinton out here. HE CAN WIN!

If all the true conservatives unite behind McClintock he will win!And proceed to lose bigtime in 2006.
BTW, if McClintock starts gaining traction, the "true conservatives" in California can be expected to engage in petty backstabbing. Witness the 2002 "friendly fire" Simon got from the usual suspects.

I could care less about Arnold's ideology. I don't live in California and I don't ever plan to. All I know is that Arnold has all the right people screeching like stuck pigs. I got to be for anyone who has Katie Couric, Bill Maher, Julian Epstein, and all the Democrat insiders desperately seeking a camera to wax hysterical. What a day it would be if Arnold took over the California governorship! It may not be a victory for Republicans, but oh what a defeat for the dark side of American politics.
