Vote against the recall, but vote for Feinstein, too, just in case.
The discussions, prompted by private polls that purportedly show Davis losing in the recall, are expected to continue right up to Saturday's deadline for candidates to file to run.

Norm, FWIW, I don't think she wants to run..Cal's a mess...she doesn't want the headache...but, if she does decide..then the GOP has a couple of very potent weapons...in no particular order, they should 1) call for her to resign as senator, NOW, to show she's serious...2) make her promise, NOW, that if elected, she would NOT appoint Davis to the Senate seat...to show that there's no under the table deal..3) since if elected she is picking her own successor, she should announce before the election who she would appoint..to let the people know...
and here's a tricky, though serious question....what's the LEGAL timing on the whole shebang if she wins...is Davis OUT as soon as the recall is confirmed...Does she have to resign her senate seat before being sworn in...could Davis sneak in an appointment before he's out?

(All we need from a Governor is a VETO PEN!!!)

If someone votes against the recall, and then votes for a replacement governor, would that void the ballots? If it does, it's something to encourage amongst the democrat voters.
