Colorblindness? Maybe he thinks he's wearing a white shirt with mocha stripes of various widths.

Actually, I'm guessing that he chose the shirt to go with the coat that's slung over his right shoulder. On its own, the stripey shirt is silly looking. With the coat, it would have been a colorful splash, but framed and contained within the coat's conservative navy blue. It's one of those artsy juxtaposition things that musicians can get away with.
