Why Bush Made the Middle East Safer By Charles Krauthammer Washington Post | July 25, 2003

Amid the general media and Democratic frenzy over Niger yellowcake, it is Bill Clinton who injected a note of sanity. "What happened often happens," Clinton told Larry King. "There was a disagreement between British intelligence and American intelligence. The president said it was British intelligence that said it. . . . . British intelligence still maintains that they think the nuclear story was true. I don't know what was true, what was false. I thought the White House did the right thing in just saying, 'Well, we probably shouldn't have said that.' " Big deal. End of story. End of scandal.

The fact that the Democrats and the media can't seem to let go of it, however, is testimony to their need (and ability) to change the subject. From what? From the moral and strategic realities of Iraq. The moral reality finally burst through the yellowcake fog with the death of the Hussein brothers, psychopathic torturers who would be running Iraq if not for the policy enunciated by President Bush in that very same State of the Union address.

Bush, is hard at work, and the world can only be safer if free elections come to the middle east.

First the terrorists must be driven from power!

The Islamic Middle East will be safe when it is covered by a layer of smokey, glowing green glass.

This is why Dubya must be re-elected. We can't trust somebody like Hillary, Dean, or Kerry to do the right thing and finish the job in Iraq. As likely as not, they would follow Slick's lead (Somalia) and pull our boys out as soon as things got particularly unpleasant. We can't allow that to happen.

The democRATS and media simply cannot get off this kick, and are even ignoring their great leader Bill Clinton when he tried to rescue a little of their cedibility by suggesting they can it and move on.

That x42 is a voice of reason is strange enough, that they ignore him is suicidal.

There exists two groups on that side of the aisle.
Radical communists, and Knee Jerk Socialists.

The radicals are always acting up and attacking
the Moral Majority, while the socialists work
both sides of the aisle.

While I admire Krauthammer across the board, it is unfortunate that he quoted Billyjeff Clinton without mentioning Clinton's motives. Even if Clinton's comment about intelligence occasionally failing, is accurate and is timely, when that sleazoid speaks it's always wise to look for the motive.

Clinton, IMHO, is looking for "moral equivalency." In his twisted mind, is he saying, "This happened to me, this happened to Bush, therefore I am no worse than Bush."? Plus at the same time, Clinton gets the bonus of trashing the Democrat candidates for President in 2004, helping to bury them now and clear the decks for Clinton (her) in 2008.

With Clinton (him or her), telling the truth about any subject simply because the statement is true, is the last possible correct explanation why any Clinton says anything. Every other explanation for the statement that involves the self-interests of Clinton (him and/or her) is more likely true.

However, the next day Hillary opposed her husbands view,
and the talking point is not about agenda's, it is about the
split in the democrats stories.

Billy can be used for the stooge he is, by both sides.

Why Bush Made the Middle East Safer

I'll be back to read this post from the always-insightful Krauthammer,
but my street-level thought is this:

Why Bush Made the Middle East Safer...because, like Reagan, he convinced a
bunch of dangerous thugs that there were no percentages (= no gain or no practical future)
in NOT trying to act like civilized human beings.

Reagan and Dubya are the humane version of Mafia Dons:
they use the carrot and stick method very well.
In other words: do the right thing, you get the carrot,
do the wrong thing, you get the stick (e.g., The Big Stick, a.k.a. the carrier
Theodore Roosevelt and her stablemates or daisey-cutters or whatever scares 'em.)

That's easy. It's always the same, no matter what. It's all about him.

The only bone I have to pick is his claim that Bush is leading the Arabs and Israelis to peace. Krauthammer himself in previous columns has noted that the Roadmap is a crock.

HAHAHAHA!!! That's a joke, right? There is absolutely no history of democracy in the Arab world. The only way to stop them is to dominate them. "Submission" is the english translation of "Islam", and it is no coincidence. When the Turks dominated the Arabs there was peace. When the Brits and that faggot T.E. Lawrence drove out the Turks is when all the trouble began...with Israel, with oil, with terror.

There are "free elections" going on the the "Middle East" every year...in ISRAEL.
