I won't deal with excerpts.

I am not fond of them myself but knowing Jewish World Review is struggling to stay afloat and depends on hits and being that is one of my favorite websites I don't mind helping where I can.

Your generation threw the party (Baby Boomers), my generation (X and Y) had the hangover.

My generation does not like being talked down too by hypocrites. It is and insult to my generation's intelligence.

We also understand that if we even pulled one of the stunts you pulled in your youth, we would be sent to prison for 20 years to life, and frankly that pisses us off.

We also know that we are never going to live to old age because will be worked to death paying taxes that will support your retirement vacation.

Taking all this, AND MORE, into account there are a lot of reasons for my generation to be angry about.

Certainly, by now, more people should see PC( and it's buzzword,'offended') as the insidious and very effective method of censorship that it is. At least in communist and socialist countries it is the government that gags you. PC makes everyone your censor- in fact, it teaches you to censor yourself and demands you alter not just your speech but your thinking.
Mao wasn't nearly as efficient, or dangerous, to independent thought.

As for the Muslims being offended- well, they have-and continue to- offend every civilization they have encountered. I don't see them stopping any of their barbaric thinking to appease non-Muslim sensibilities. I figure it's way past time that we start 'offending' them.

Hey, guy, as far as I am concerned, unless the article is really long or LAT/WP, I can see no reason to excerpt an article.

This is a laugh. I am neither a Baby boomer or a generation X,Y or Z.

We also understand that if we even pulled one of the stunts you pulled in your youth, we would be sent to prison for 20 years to life, and frankly that pisses us off.
My generation would have even thought of some of those stunts and if we had our parents would have taken care of it and nipped it in the bud.

Taking all this, AND MORE, into account there are a lot of reasons for my generation to be angry about.

When you decide to get off your pity pot. Don't forget to flush. Start taking some responsibily and stop blaming everyone else.

That's classic double-speak, there.. Another common tactic is "Yes, but..." and then about 5 minutes of totally unrelated verbiage. Or, alternatively "It's a very complicated issue..." and then the speaker goes off on an even more unrelated tangent. Often, the latter is used when the subject *isn't* complicated at all... Often coupled with "That's too simplistic" <--- "accurate" being mis-spelled there, of course.. ;)

Okay, your generation are the ones that raised those spoiled brats (baby boomer) that my generation calls parents. You only have yourself to blame.

It sure would be nice if you had a clue as to what you're talking about.

It would be nice if you got off you elitist high horse and came back down to Earth.

You created this thread solely to insult those generations younger than you. And I am calling you on it.

I created the thread to show how stupid we have all become with our being offended at every corner. I think maybe you have just proven my point.

If you try and post anything from JWR you will get a notice asking you to excerpt it. Just going by the rules.

Getto was started in Middle-Ages Venice so that Christians would not be offended at the sight and/or conduct of Jews.

Interesting that professional, hard-core, smokestack blowing anti-semitism has at it's root this idea that government action must be taken against "offensive" people!

I reserve the right to offend anybody, anytime, anywhere. In fact, I reserve the right to ENJOY offending people if I wish.

All of that is an explanation for why the Second Amendment (right of self defense with weapons of choice) follows the First Amendment (freedom of religion, freedom of speech).

The rest of the world is different, and anybody who disagrees with our rights is privileged to leave for somewhere else, and the sooner the better.

You remind me of those jerks that did a study by walking up to people and calling them an a$$****, too see what their reaction would be.

Listen if you insult someone almost anywhere in the world, their reaction to you will usually be hostile.

You're right but I'll also use the term " thin skinned" when people sit around with a chip the size of Texas on their shoulder just waiting to be offended.

People who just hang on every word while someone is speaking, waiting for something to be said they can jump on it and be offended.

You remind me of one of those. Sorry if that offends you.

Our generation was taught manners by parents and I also taught manners to my children and my children are teaching it to their children. You don't intentionally hurt someones feelings but PC has gone way over the line and if parents would teach their children manners and tell them rudeness is unacceptable that's fine with me but what we have become with our warm, feel good fuzzies now makes me ill.

Maybe people need to grow a tougher skin that doesn't allow them to be offended so easily.

How about you lead by example. Also it is considered rude to pick a fight with someone.
