I don't want to think. I want to be a Republican.Good. Then don't think about it; vote Republican. The Dems are not an option and the third parties aren't going anywhere. Next thread.

It's purely political. If the 'pubbies give the Dims everything they want, then why would Dims flood the polls to out the 'pubbies? If the GOP governs like Liberal Democrats, then why would pubbies even bother going to the polls?

A phrase/a take very similar to what
Alex Jones would concoct ...
Old 'pinhead Jones' has been on a neocon kick for awhile now.

Why make things worse? By all means, slow down.

But where can I get the mindless talking points? There are no mindless talking points. Every word spoken, has a purpose, no matter who says it, how it's said, the context in which it is said, when it is said, where it is said.....but you already know that, don't you?

Face it the repubs talk a good game but they are not conservatives and will not be getting my vote, unless Bush shows me something in the next year.. THE TIME to work out 'the details' on a candidate is during the primary process ... of course, the 'fave' this time will be GWB ... so why don't you move an over to DU right now and save us your vapid venting?

If I wanted to see an expansion of the Clinton/Gore policies, I would have voted for Gore. We wouldn't have had a meaningful war on terrorism and routed out the threats to our and the world's security, threats like OBL, Al Quiada (sp?) or Saddam with Algore -
- so quit your griping ...

Not one of those Third Parties is smart enough to call itself the nations only Second Party with all it implies. They are not ready for prime time and serve only as a diversion for the disgruntled.

I voted for this President with the hope he would use his "bully pulpit" to pursuade Congress into reducing the size and scope of the federal government. I don't know why you would even hope that.
Prescription Drugs... Dubya said he was going to do it during the campaign
Education... Dubya said he was going to do it during the campaign.
Tax Cuts...Dubya said he was going to do it during the campaign.
New tone in Washington... Dubya said he was going to do it during the campaign.
Maybe I'm missing something, but the President has been consistent with his campaign promises when it comes to the entitlements that have been passed. He didn't get vouchers... and he didn't get the reforms on Medicare... That was disappointing...
But to think that once he got into office he was then going to use the bully pulpit to pursuade Congress into reducing the size and scope of the federal government might have been wishful thinking on your part...

Maybe it's a Texas thing; bigger this, bigger that, bigger handouts. Wow! Good insight and analogy!
I never saw the connection. Still, do you think it's something in the water down there? ;-)
