Smokers Suing To Stop NY Smoking Ban...I love freedom more than I hate smoke.
Hopefully there are some non-smokers involved in this. If we all sit back and watch our private property rights eliminated by the busy-bodies then we'll get what we deserve.

I got "involved." When they tried to pass such a ban here, I went down to the tobacco shop and said, "Sell me a brier!"
I guess I'm still a non-smoker, but still, I wanted to have a dog in the fight.
And I constantly harangue my fellow non-smokers that are in favor of it because they don't seriously believe that there's any kind of slippery slope. I tell them bars with parking lots are next, because "why would anyone need to park at a bar if they can't drink and drive?" Mark my words. Bars with parking lots are next, right after McDonalds. Then gas stations, maybe, cause they allow SUVs to pollute.

I have lived in a few different states and From what I can see if you want to control something, Then why take it away. Thats like a child who has done something wrong. How would we punish them. By taking something away from them or telling them there would be restrictions of use or time with it? Lets get with it people we are adults! Or For the most part alot of people are pretending to be! I kind of feel like we are a black person that has been pushed to the back of the bus. We are being slowly segregated to satisfy the (NON) or ones that dislike something! When it all hits the fan one of these days we will see that its not you or me (smokers or non) that are to blame for this. So why should we suffer? on both ends of the fence. First they have stolen from our economy to get so many hooked and then over the years we start to find out the almighty truth about the dangers and how the companies have taken advantage of us and tried to kill! Whats someone soppose to think when the govenment that we are suppose to trust has turned and pulled this crap! I can understand if a buisness wants to change its policies on smoking or have "SMOKE-FREE" establishments, But my Point is why take it away from being outside in the fresh air? If I choose to smoke in front of a store while a wait for someone, as long as I am not being sick about it and blowing the danger at people, then whats the harm??? Next question is what about the handicapped that don't much or have the ability to understand all of this. For some, these little things will have a great impact. Most people don't think about some of the unfornuate or some that just live day to day and only have little to look foward to. Some smoke and some don't. But in full , I would just like to say, Lets try to fair about this and try and figure out what we can do to actually help the situation and eventually get everyone smoke-free. I have smoked for over 15 years and have tried just about everything to try and throw them out. But the drug wins every time! Next time one of you decide to say , "Oh I don't like cigarette smoke, It stinks and really bothers me, I might die off the fumes" Try getting near a vehicle and smelling some of those fumes for a short second or 2. You then think WOW There is something WORSE!!! NYS HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA . Thanks for the NEW HARDSHIP!!!
