I am more convinced Qusay may have had good reasons to go after dad.

I doubt that. Qusay appeared to be the one poised to take the reins for Saddam.

Uday was more of the 'disinherited' one in that respect, drawing his father's ire on many occasions.

However, I don't think Saddam was done in by either of these two. Just a feeling.

I'm inclined to think he is still alive. For now.

You are probably right, but why would Qusay knowing our capabilities use a sat phone in such close proximity to dear old dad.

Udai was disinheirited by pop, but lacked the discipline to go after the prize. He would lasted 2 seconds at the top. Qusay was much more cunning & ruthless. Udai was just a sick psychopath.
