Mr. Speaker, I will make this commitment to my colleagues. If this partisan rhetoric continues on the floor, I will be back here every night and I will refute it, and I will bring out more of the gross Clinton lies and distortions which that side remained silent on year after year after year. I challenge them to end this garbage. Enough is enough, Mr. Speaker. *silence*
(I think he said it all)

The Administration is playing defensively, and playing badly. I've always said that they should counter these criticisms by asking why the Democrats think it is desireable to keep Saddam Hussein in power, or having removed him, why it was a bad idea to do so.
Instead, they're playing this silly defensive game and handing the initiative to the Democrats. Is Karl Rove on vacation or something? I can't for the life of me understand the Administration's strategy here, unless they simply don't have one.

Bump for later reading. Outstanding!

His point is clear and unlike the dims, he uses factual information to justify his argument. I wish this guy was representing my district.

Let's keep this circulating as well.
Bill Clinton, Meet the Press, February 17, 1996:
"Now, let's imagine the future. What if he [Saddam] fails to comply and we fail to act or we take some ambiguous third route which gives him yet more opportunities to develop this program of weapons of mass destruction? Well, he will conclude that the international community has lost its will. He will then conclude that he can go right on and do more to rebuild an arsenal of devastating destruction. And someday, some way, I guarantee you, he will use the arsenal."

Sadly, most important think for DemocRATS is to get back to power in government by any means so they can push their agenda of disarming and destroying America, just like their predecessors did with Russia and Eastern Europe. Vote the Ba$tards out!

I think it's called 'giving 'em enough rope...'
Pres. Bush and his cabinet gave this claim all the attention it deserved last weekend, imho.

Well said. But of course everyone in congress knows what is going on. The question is, how much of it gets out through the news media to the people?
