It's not ignorant. Fascism and communism claim to represent the people, despite the fact that elites are too rule.

And Muslims aren't an ethnic group. I believe the dominant mindset of Islam in its current form in the MidEast will prevent a stable democracy to grow. Hardly condemnatory of any ethnic group.

Chris Matthews is an, well, you know. I loved that Ari today mentioned that CLinton mentioned Iraq's nuclear weapons program (NOT WMD, but Nuclear Weapons Program) today in his last day working for President Bush. Ari reminded the viewing audience that Clinton mentioned the nuclear program in Iraq 4 times in 1998.

Fascism and communism claim alot of things. That doesn't make them derivative of democracy.

>And Muslims aren't an ethnic group.

Arabs are.

>I believe the dominant mindset of Islam in its current form in the MidEast will prevent a stable democracy to grow.

The only thing that is going to change that mindset is freedom. The Japanese once had a similar mindset, but democracy took root there.

The difference with Japan is that it was an industrialized country that was largely Westernized, had fought a devastating war, suffered two nuclear bombs, and was allowed to keep its emperor, making the people more accepting of the US terms of defeat. Japan didn't have nearly as large a jump as the Muslim countries do. Furthermore, the defeated nations of World War II had a stark choice between the US and the Soviet Union. Not exactly a difficult decision. I sincerely hope you turn out to be correct but I'm not optimistic about it.

If any investigation is done by Congress, it should be on Wilson and his Wife

I have already made a folder in my Favorites JUST for Wilson, et al. The Favorites dropdown from so many bookmarks was covering up my whole screen.

Left wing maggots like Wilson can't get away trying to revise history.

We can go on the internet and document what they said and did years ago, months ago and even weeks ago. The truth is starting to be really painful for the revisionists and the liars of the media and the card carrying rats.

I am reading Dick Morris's intriguing new book. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS. The chapter I am in involves Clinton's dealings with Iraq. It is must reading for all who are as disgusted as I am by these revisionist, lying democrats. This is another problem He mishandled by design, and laid in Bush's lap hoping against hope it would bite him. I am sure he is the first one baring his teeth along with the PIPS.

Iraq is largely westernized, it fought two devestating wars and suffered a civil war involving chemical weapons. Its people are highly literate, and its industrial capacity is probably greater than that of Japan after WW2. - just playing Devil's advocate... and the Iraqis are smart enough not to want their leader back.

Evidently Wilson said something similar in February of this year.

URGENT: Joseph Wilson to Bill Moyers in Feb. interview — war with Iraq not just about WMD!

The Dims are just trying to use Wilson's RECENT statements to get President Bush to say something on the order of "I...did NOT...have war...with that...statement...Monica Lewinsky uranium to Africa"

The Japanese were still loyal to their emperor. Most Iraqis hated Saddam. The Japanese civilians were preparing to fight to the death to resist the US. A great deal of the Iraqi army refused to fight.

Seems to me the Iraqis are more ready for change.

It's speculation that that most Iraqis hated Saddam. As in most countries with depotic rulers, most were probably indifferent to him. It seems to me that the Iraqis are fighting more intensely now that Saddam is gone. They're ready for a change all right. They want US troops out.

Really? I saw them taking to the streets to tear down statues of him. What did you see?

Also, the people attacking our troops are not your average Iraqi civilians. If the Iraqi people wanted us gone, we'd have alot more than a few casualties a week. These people are mostly terrorists who are taking advantage of our presence there to attack us.
