Same thing at the two Costcos I've been to.

My main Costco only had 20-30 copies left when I was there Monday. The local Borders was sold out.

Huge stacks of the Hildebeast's tome at all places.

... and isn't it curious that there has been so much made about the sales of this book? they're spewing out this information, but nobody is asking how it IS selling to begin with

And how many of that million have sold in Europe? Because that's where she's spent much of her book tour!

I just checked Amazon.com where Coulter's "Treason" is ranked #4. The marxist new york senator's book is ranked #11.

I had trouble getting a copy of Treason in Salt Lake (in arguably the most conservative state in the nation) yet noticed the tables were stacked with lying history... upon asking the clerks, it turns out they couldn't keep Coulter on the shelf... at least at the 3 stores I went to last weekend.

I wonder how many copies of Slander have been sold ?

I saw something on this yesterday on FR, don't have a link offhand, but I think Slander was around 395,000 and Treason has gotten to 475,000 to date, if I recall correctly.

I wish we could get an idea on how many have gone to the labor unions and other crooked operations that buy in bulk
to make political contributions.
I just don't see a million ordinary citizens buying this tripe.

According to Drudge she has sold 780,000 copies per Bookscan which is a scanning procedure. Drudge was on a Florida radio show today and said Bookscan is a truer indicator of sales than the publishers estimates.

Hard to believe this, I think that someone is piling on the manure.

I think so too. Maybe a few hundred thousand are sitting in warehouses to be "gifts" to Dim supporters. Or maybe Babs Streisand bought them all. They certainly haven't flown off the shelf at our Wal-Marts and Books-A-Million stores.

I did walk into BAM, didn't see "Treason" in the bestseller section. I asked the clerk in a VERY loud voice where it was. She pointed to the door.

They had at least 50 copies or "Treason" out in a freestanding display. Sheesh. Am I blind or what? ;O) at least 10 copies were gone.

Hildabeast had space for 3 copies on the shelf. There were 3 on the shelf. If they sold a million copies of "Living Lying History," they're not going through the stores.

It is my understanding that when bookstores transfer books back and forth it "can" be considered a sale if they want to artificially pump the numbers up.

Glad to hear, I got my copy, it's a great book.

Anyway, I found the source I was talking about ealier, it's from Publishers Weekly:

The folks at Crown Forum are crowing about the excellent launch of Ann Coulter's Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism, the first book for the new imprint for conservative readers and #3 on our hardcover nonfiction chart this week. With only a week on sale, the publisher has had to rush back to press three times, bringing its total number in print to 462,000; first printing was 220,000 copies. The publicity campaign for Treason began with an appearance on Good Morning America on the book's on-sale date (June 24), followed by Coulter guest-hosting The View on June 25. She also appeared on a relentless lineup of top conservative radio talk shows, including Sean Hannity and Michael Medved, and on top cable programs such as Hannity & Colmes, Crossfire and Scarborough Country. Coulter will be appearing on more than 80 talk radio programs throughout July. Her previous bestseller, Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right, reported sales of more than 350,000 in 2002 and was on the weekly charts for 15 weeks, including four in the #1 slot.
