Oh, you mean all this would make them useless and prohibitively expensive as shopping carts..... No, I think banning them is the best solution.

Oh no, You are forgetting about the homeless, If the shopping carts become to expensive the homeless can't afford them so then we must subsidize them. So getting an expensive safe shopping cart should be covered under medicaid.

Good point!

While we are coming up with scenarios we think are totally preposterous, I am willing to bet that other equally preposterous scenarios already exist and if any liberal reads this, it will probably give them a new idea to champion: "child safe shopping carts" FOR THE CHILDREN!
