Well, not so huge. Faye Waddleton was on C-Span yesterday explaining why poor pitiful, misinformed and misguided women poll more pro-life than ever. It's not their fault, most of them are too young to remember the bad ole days before Roe V Wade, the days of backstreet and self-induced abortions.

Just like the left! Rather than admit they are losing the debate, that perhaps they should reconsider their position, they accuse everyone else of being too ignorant to form a valid opinion. Grrrrrr

Dear YaYa123,

Sure it's huge. Whatever Faye has to say, it doesn't really matter.

There was a great graph in the written version of the article in the Washington Times. It showed that:

- 30% of women favor the current legal regime of essentially abortion on demand;
- 17% of women favor a complete ban on abortion;
- 34% favor a ban with the exceptions of rape, incest, and life of the mother.

That's where you get your 51%.

But, another 17% favor laws more restrictive than they are now, though not quite a nearly-complete ban.

Thus, 68% of women favor abortion laws more restrictive than they are now.

Not huge?

Exactly. They pull the victime routine. Of course when it comes to waiting periods and pre-abortion counseling, the tune is that women are smart enough to make their own decisions and have already thought things through thoroughly before seeking an abortion.

Limbaugh played this up today, but I hadn't heard the source. This must make Wattleton puke.
