It's gettin' ugly

Cuomolot is ending with a crash.

A day after Andrew Cuomo's lawyer accused Kerry Kennedy Cuomo of "betrayal," a close friend of Cuomo's went a step further yesterday, saying she had an affair with "a married man Andrew considered one of his closest friends."

The source, who would not be quoted by name, said Cuomo discovered the relationship by walking in on a tryst and even then still tried to save the marriage.

The Cuomos are good friends with the other married couple, having gone on family vacations to Hyannis Port, Mass., Florida and Aspen, Colo., with them, the friend said.

"For the last 10 weeks, he has been trying to work it out. They sought help and therapy. She went through the motions," the friend said.

Cuomo declined comment, and his wife's spokesman said only, "The other side is free to say whatever they want."

Pals of the couple said they were not surprised by the breakup of the celebrated 13-year marriage - just by the bitter way it's unraveling.

Even some of Cuomo's loyal friends winced when they read his lawyer's allegation of betrayal in the newspapers yesterday - the kind of take-no-prisoners approach that Cuomo has used in his political career.

"A lot of people feel this could be a real problem for him politically down the line," said one, explaining that it was a harsh comment to make about the mother of his three children.

The dissolution also could hurt the political future of Cuomo, oldest son of former Gov. Mario Cuomo, in other ways.

"A big chunk of Andrew's money in the governor's race came from Kennedy people," said a top Democrat. "Kerry would call people ... and then end the conversation by saying something like, 'Look, we need 25 [thousand dollars] and can you send it by the end of the week?'"

What was not disputed by both sides is that the union of two famous Democratic families was under stress before Cuomo returned to New York from Washington in 2001 to launch a high-stakes, pressure-filled and ultimately unsuccessful campaign for governor.

"It's not like there hasn't been trouble in this marriage," said one friend of the couple. "In fairness to [Kerry], there has been trouble for years."

Drifted away

Kennedy Cuomo was at her husband's side when he announced his candidacy in February 2001, and she joined him for the statewide trip that served as the campaign's formal rollout in April 2002.

But she became less of a presence as the campaign wore on. And when Cuomo moved to revive his political career by appearing at a May gathering of 500 Democrats in Lake Placid - the kind of event Kennedy Cuomo normally would attend - she was notably absent.

Events came to a head Monday when, according to the Cuomo camp, an agreement to jointly announce an amicable separation unraveled when Kennedy Cuomo pitched her version to a reporter. It was then, according to a Cuomo ally, that he had his lawyer allege betrayal.

Good bye forever to the astonishingly ugly (in every aspect) Andie Boy Cuomo, an incompetent, narcissistic, corrupt, mentally disturbed, flaming liberal weasel.

Unmentioned is the fact that this shyster is pulling down $1 million per year from a criminal gang, oops I meant private law firm, thanks to daddy's connections. In the real world, this fecal mass would be a greeter at Wal-Mart.

If it is bad for or hurts the kennedys and cuomos it has to be good.

Wal-Mart is my favorite store. Andi Cuomo at the front door would make women cry and small children faint.

Some of this stuff we don't NEED to hear.

Why can't these people simply go to the bishop, initiate anullment procedures, quietly and with as little fanfare as practical, proceed into separate living, and take the civil settlement to arbitration? But NOOOOOO. they got to throw their egos and reputations out there, in a knock-down-drag-out public fight. You would think they were some kind of Hollywood royalty.

"a married man Andrew considered one of his closest friends..."

Hmmm..married man.. "close friend".

Maybe ex-President Bill finally got himself a piece of the Camelot legend after all.

On the other hand, judging from the long-philandering Kennedy line, what else did poor Andrew expect from Kerry?!

FReegards.. SFS

OK, we here at FR should be able to search this out - who is this "un-named, married, friend, suspected lover of Kennedy?????"

Good point. The Kennedys are alcoholic, promiscuous white trash with money (As opposed to the Clintons, who are trailer trash grifters).

RE #11

Once I was watching TV which happened to show an interview with Kerry Kennedy Cuomo. In it, the interviewer happened to ask when her baby would be due(She was pregnant at the time.) Upon hearing the question, she suddenly threw her temper against the journalist, insisting that it is a private matter. She is free to decline to answer the question. But I could not understand why the question was such a big deal to merit the public outburst on TV.

Here's the story I was talking about. Notice that the News has THREE reporters in the by-line!

I think this could get very entertaining.

A Kennedy cheating on his spouse is a "dog bites man" story. It would ONLY be news if they DIDN'T cheat.

A Freeper on another post said this.....Kerry....... Kennnedy....Cuomo.......ALL Losers! LOL!
