Fouda, speaking by telephone from London, said the statement called on Americans to stop supporting Israel and other governments that "oppress" Muslims or face more attacks. The statement also called on Americans to convert to Islam, he said.

Fouda quoted the statement as saying: "Stop your support for Israel against the Palestinians, for Russians against the Chechens ... for corrupt leaders in our countries ... (and) leave us alone or expect us in Washington and New York."

He added the statement demanded U.S. troops leave the Arabian Peninsula, and justified the killings of American civilians because they pay taxes that finance military operations.

I imagine when that day comes our homeland color coded alert will be jumping all over the place not knowing which color it wants to be or maybe it will just go blank. It will probably go blank out of disgust for being utilized in vain.

The timing of this decision is suspect. Please note they must obtain the necessary permits for construction of sewage lagoons from the Iowa Dept. of Natural Resources.

I wonder if the Corps of Engineers would approve to lease 107 acres of the Shenandoah National Park to be used for a 17,500 sf Convention Center plus and year around "training center" for Jerry Falwell and Liberty University?

I can't blame the neighbors for protesting just on aesthetic and peace-of-mind grounds. Anyone who has ever lived in a Muslim country knows you have to put up with the ubiquitous ear-splitting and spooky calls to Morning Prayers at 5 AM from the Prayer Tower, not to mention throughout the rest of the day and night. You can't escape it.

This is an outrage. Not only can we not control our borders, but we can't control our National Lands. It seems no matter how hard and loud we protest, nobody in the government listens.

Pathetic.

This will be the topic of the Mike Gallagher Show tomorrow in Iowa City. I'll give you a report if I survive.

If Muslim's were the murderous terrorists that they are made out to be today , wouldn't they have been murderous terrorists 100 years ago , 200 years ago or a 1,000 years ago.

Why wouldn't we have been taught this in America for centuries? Why would Muslim's be allowed entry into our country and given citizenship?

Terrorism is serving a purpose in our country , the loss of our Rights as individuals.

I will hold my opinion until I visit the camp.

I was told a few years ago that there are plans to build the worlds largest Muslim Temple in Iowa City , I have heard nothing about it since.

I will be watching this to see if this camp is just a foot in the door , where the Muslim's can then cry they have the Right to have a larger camp.

"WE" cannot forget who is allowing these things to happen. Free thinking individuals with God given Rights , the Right to LIFE ( unless you are a baby ), the Right to LIBERTY ( unless you are a Christian ) and the Right to PURSUE HAPPINESS ( unless you are any of the above ) have enemies.

But "WE" don't have to go any further than our State Houses and Capital to find them.

I'm more worried about the people stealing my Rights than I am of the people being used as an excuse to do it.

I'm part of "Concerned Citizens of Johnson County" and want to thank everyone for your letters. Don't miss the "50% reduced use" condition that accompanied the Army Corps' approval.

Our take is that all the flak to the Army Corps as well as to the Congressional committees over the past three weeks is what led to the "50%" revision. Two months ago, the USACE project director Karen Haggerty said the proposal would be approved as submitted. For the "50%" revision, there had to be orders to Colonel William Bayles from above.

If you haven't yet seen the article in the Saudi government-controlled newspaper entitled "Muslim Camp Gets ‘Go-Ahead’ by US Army Corps," I urge you to read it at http://www.arabnews.com/?page=4&section=0&article=28391&d=5&m=7&y=2003. Observing it in a Saudi newspaper removed any doubts that this whole thing is orchestrated from Saudi Arabia.

Both Fournier and Bayles are mid-level hacks--they take orders from people at the top. Contacting them or Iowa federal legislators is a waste of time--they were contacted by local citizens 6 months ago and offered no help.

Instead, use the strategy of the Concerned Citizens of Johnson County, because obviously that's what has been effective.

Fournier is a jerk. Although the (Saudi) Arab News quotes that he was unable to present facts to the out-of-town talk show host, I spoke personally with Fournier on June 25 and he emphatically said he had no intention of attending. Of course, refusing to attend would indeed make him unable to present the facts, but that's his problem. Chairs for Fournier and the two MYCA leaders were marked and conspicuously vacant for the entire forum.

A Muslim woman spoke and accused Mike Gallagher of conducting the most ugly and hate-filled forum she'd ever seen. That's because Craig Winn read "politically incorrect" passages from the Koran and other Islamic volumes. She was accompanied by another woman who refused to give her name, claimed to be a recent Muslim convert, and was as much a Muslim as I am an aardvark.

Quite a bit of information wasn't presented during the forum, most notably a July 1 Front Page magazine article by Joe Kaufman entitled "Camp Terror" at http://www.frontpagemagazine.com/articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=8670.

I urge everyone to read it; it suggests strongly that the MYCA principals aren't as "Squeaky Clean" as the liberal Iowa City newspaper would have people believe.

The article was sent to Mike Gallagher the day before the Town Hall, but for some reason he didn't disclose it to attendees and listeners.

Should you receive a postcard from the Army Corps notifying you that "Final Approval" has been granted, pay no attention. Continue the phone calls and letters because that's what achieved the "50%" approval.

It's not over till the fat lady sings. Or until Muslim bulldozers arrive at Coralville Lake.
