Sodomy laws have rarely been enforced>
The idea that this ruling signifies a huge change in moral perspective in a nation infamous for it's saturation with pornography and making people like Madonna and Howard Stern super rich mega stars.....is not very convincing.
It was an unwritten rule in 99.9% of the the time anyway. So the Supreme Court ruling really shouldn't change things much.
"A nation infamous"??
The Europeans still think Americans are a nation of over-zealous naive Victorians despite your hyperbolic assumption. That's because our roots and traditions have always been based upon conservatism -- they still are despite the liberals' attempt to "enlighten" and "free" the rest of us from our "archaic" beliefs.

Yeah, wink-wink...
"A nation infamous"??
When it comes to pornography..yes.

Another laughable European caricature of America that shows how out of touch with reality they really are.
The idea that Europe would consider Americans to be the sort of Victorian prudes you describe when the USA is the undisputed capital of pornography in the world...is just amusing.
But true from my personal observation. America represents a strange dichotomy for Europeans.
They gauge their opinion of America NOT by the Jerry Springer Show, and the large volume of porno that's churned out here, but by the number of vociferous Christians still committed to staying true to conservative roots and still respecting God's Law -- unlike largely agnostic Europe who has ideologically surrendered to moral relativism.
