SCHUMER WANTS FANATICAL IMAMS ROOTED OUT OF JAILS, ARMED FORCES
NY Post ^ | 6/27/03 | BRIAN BLOMQUIST

Militant Muslim imams are preaching a distorted, hateful form of Islam to U.S. soldiers and federal prisoners, creating a "dangerous situation," Sen. Charles Schumer charged yesterday. Schumer said the problem is that the Pentagon and the federal Bureau of Prisons select Muslim imams on the advice of Islamic groups in the grip of the fanatical Wahhabism strain of the religion.

"While the potential Wahhabi influence in the U.S. Armed Forces is not well documented, these organizations have succeeded in ensuring that militant Wahhabism is the only form of Islam that is preached to the 12,000 Muslims in federal prison," Schumer said at a Senate hearing on extremist Wahhabi Islam, which has been linked to terrorism.

In February, the New York prison system barred its top Muslim chaplain from its prison facilities after the imam, Warith Dean Umar, said the 9/11 hijackers should be treated as martyrs.

"The imams flood the prisons with anti-American, pro-bin Laden videos, literature and sermon tapes . . . The point of prison [should be] to rehabilitate violent prisoners."

The Bureau of Prisons uses the Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences (GISS), which is under investigation for possible funneling of money to terrorists, and the Islamic Society of North America, which has board members with terror links, Schumer charged.

Even a narcissistic blind squirrel like Schumer will occasionally find a big fat acorn.

Actually the problem is the Armed Forces have had the whole idea of diversity jammed down their throats that they couldn't get rid of these creeps anyway, else they would have been accused of discrimination (as if that's a bad thing).

Maybe some good will come of this. I wonder what NY's junior senator thinks on this issue.

What just as bad is that Islamofascist schools across the US (and Europe) are preaching an anti-democracy, hate-filled al Queda message to young minds full of mush.

These murder factories have to be closed down.

At the same time I think we should out radical rabbi's who continue to support the establishment of settlements on the west bank. That just drives those Pali's carzy...and just causes trouble.

Or perhaps we should oust those zealot Christian preachers who tell me that I will go to hell if I dont abandon my beliefs and follow their scripture to the letter.

Yeah, Chuckie's on great solid ground here. No First Amendement issues with this proposal.

How do you spell "Grandstanding?"

Saudis = al Queda's bankroll

Time for some serious democracy in the Islamofascist world.

Islam is NOT a religion
– it is a CULT OF HATE

ACTION PLAN:

1) Assemble fleet of troop transport vessels in port cities; 2) move, via bus and/or train all US dwelling Muslims (immigrant or American Born Muslims ABM) to said ports; 3) Load all muslims onto ships, send forthwith to any middle east muslim country; 4) Bulldoze all mosques and islamic schools in US; 5) Concurrently, close borders with military; 6) Pop any American brewed beer, gloat over job well accomplished and relax.

Wow! The anti-gun liberal got one right.

Well, as a Joo, I'd expect him to want to ferret out radical Islamics.

You left out the last paragraph of the story:

American Muslim Foundation President Abdurahman Alamoudi said his organization had no role advising the Pentagon. Alamoudi said he formerly gave the Pentagon advice on selecting imams, but "they pushed me out."

Alamoudi, of course, is the fellow who proclaimed his allegiance to the Designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations Hamas and Hezbolla at a demonstration in front of the White House.

I think he should pay his $250,000 fine for illegal campaign contributions first.

Schumer is right but can we imagine if a Republican had recommended this? It would be racial profiling at its worst.

Remember how Hillary was caught red handed with money from the American Muslim Foundation?

She changed the name on her campaign records to (I swear) "American Museum Foundation." When caught, she said it was "simple clerical errors."

Of course 90% of the NY Jewish population immediately accepted this blatant lie, along with Hillary's full mouth kiss and support for Suhat Arafat and the PLO, and voted the beast in. Thanks for reminding me.

Does anybody know who was giving spiritual counseling to Sgt. Hasan Akbar? (His grenade attack on his officers took place on the Saturday night after a Friday when a fatwa was issued against the U.S. invasion of Iraq.)
