Flier from senator angers Muslims

The flier, which Glodis's 39 colleagues received Wednesday, said an execution of Muslim extremists in the Philippines was ordered by General John Joseph ''Black Jack'' Pershing before World War I, in which the terrorists were shot with bullets dipped in pigs' blood, then buried with ''pigs' blood, entrails, etc.'' According to the flier, contact with the blood and entrails of pigs ''instantly barred'' Muslims from paradise, dooming them to hell. It said news of the burial deterred other terrorist attacks for ''the next forty-two years.''

I agree. The "Black Jack" burial method should be employed for those killed assaulting our troops in Iraq. It's time to employ the Spanatz method of dealing with thugs. It's going to be interesting to see how the Brits handle the loss of the men.

While this may not exactly be a tenet of Islam and it may not appear in the koran, that hardly means that ignorant third world muslims don't think it's true. There's nothing about FGM in the koran, but that doesn't mean there aren't many muslims throughout the countries where FGM is endemic who think that FGM is specifically commanded in the koran.

Right here on FR I read an article on African village islam. The article was posted after 9/11 but before US troops entered Afghanistan. In it, an imam's sermon was recounted. The imam told how the Taliban defeated the USSR : "They would take a single grain of rice, recite a prayer over it, and then throw the rice under the tank treads. The rice would then explode." If primitive muslims believe that Magical Exploding Rice defeated the USSR, and that similar magic would destroy the US military....then they believe being wrapped in pigskin would send them to hell, while murdering innocent men , women , and children will not.
