And even while tossing aside questions about the Senate job, Edwards sounds like someone who has thought more about the White House than staying on Capitol Hill.

He'll do for the country what he's done for North Carolina.

Say, other than temporarily moving to Iowa, what HAS he done for North Carolina?

Aw shucks, he's the easy one to spot. He's the one that can't stop blinking.

GOOD! If get's a primary ass kicking, maybe Richard Burr may give him a second ass kicking.

He'll do for the country what he's done for North Carolina

Nothing?

the 50-year-old Edwards said during a stop this month in Raleigh

That sounds like we're just another "event" on his quest for the presidency.

"His history is he doesn't have to stand in line and pay his dues like other politicians," Black said. "The feeling was, 'He did it in North Carolina, so why can't he do it nationally?' But this is a whole different ballgame."

Why can't he do it? Loch Faircloth isn't the president and Bush will probably run a campaign to hold his seat.

"Voters fail to notice Edwards"

They noticed him - but they don't like him. Is that because he's (kiss of death) Bill Clinton's boy??

"Say, other than temporarily moving to Iowa, what has he done for North Carolina?"

He has shown NC and the entire world, that a college education and a fortune in assets, cannot cure stupidity. Proof positive that while ignorance is treatable, stupidity is incurable.

Letterman did a funny bit on the Dem candidates on his show tonight:after an introduction in which he described all of them as indistinguisable from one another and unexciting and colorless, he turned it over to Paul Shaffer who extemporized on the piano, accompanied by pictures of five of them: to the same melody, pictures of Kerry, Gephardt, Edwards,Kucinich, etc. flashed on the screen and Shaffer sang: "Johm Kerry is a white guy....who always wears a suit"......Dick Gephardt is a white guy....
who always wears a suit....." and on and on.......
