Can you do that in Illinois? After all, it's the home of Presser vs. Illinois (1895), the Supreme Court case in which the Court okayed an Illinois law that limited the State Militia to an enrollment of 8600, and denied Second Amendment rights to anyone not in the State Militia.

This is scary. A bunch of American Muslims that were doing their own thing and assimilating nicely into American society are now taking seriously the rants of the local imam. That's just ducky.

Considering the state of Muslims in global terror politics, and the publics fear associated with anyone from that sect, why would any sane person put themselves up as a target of ridicule?

Unless, of course, they held deep convictions about a sect that teaches hated and xenophobia. That's why it's so scary.

Lately, my local papers, the "Chicago Tribune" and the "Chiago Sun-Times" have printing major puff pieces about Muslims.

Mein Koran is their 'kill the Jews and lie' scheme and Mo'ham's Haddith is their 'battle plan'.

Infidels have a cause for concern because Islam preaches 5th column invasion for slaughter and subjugation.

No it isn't. Islam is a deviant cult of subhuman boy-buggerers, women-chattellers, terrorists and murderers who want to install, by force, an Islamic Caliphate on the rest of the world. This is bad news. If you want to see what happens when someone takes a literal word for word account of the Koran just look at Saudi Arabia.

We need to realize that some of these kooks take their Koran seriously and they don't believe they can live among the infidels except when they're planning a take-over of the land of the infidels. True Muslims believe the whole world must submit to Islam --no ifs ands or buts.

People need to open their eyes to what Muslims have done in India, Sudan, Nigeria, Malaysia, and many other places. They'll do the same here.

If this really was the cause, Muslims might go to their mosques more, but outside would be trying to blend in. Instead, in Philadelphia, I see more and more women with the full eyes-slit-only black veil. From this article, it sounds like it is the same in Chicago.

I'm curious whether, espeically in the coming summer heat, the women are wearing this voluntarily or are pressured by men.

The Chicago media constantly reminds me of that "fact." Shortly after 9-11, a Muslim school in my area was vandalized. This was headline news. The media and local politicians cried for more hate crime laws and sensitivity training. But, it turned out that the vandalism was committed by Muslim kids who attended the school! In predicatable liberal bias fashion, the media reported this revelation in the back pages.

Check with an attorney, I'll bet that 1886 (?) statute is still on the books, the one that limited the Second Amendment to the 8600 elect. They were all relatives of GOP officeholders, btw. Sound familiar?

Check it out! Bet Cook County still relies on the old Militia statute when they insist on confiscating weapons.
