I think it is completely wrong. But then again I am almost for it - makes it far easier to tell who the idiots are.

It's a form of self-expression, alienation, rejecting mainstream culture and asserting independence...

From the sounds of his article, he probably does have a "forked-tongue"
Let me tell you .....if somebody came up to me and tried to kiss me with a tongue like that....I'd either puke in their face...or do a forward-kick-thrust....

What's sticking out of his nostrils?!
To: ShadowAce
Not quite the same as making a decision as to whether to part your hair on the side or down the middle, is it?
There's no "I don't like it, I'm going back to my old style" moment in these folks' future.

Perfect title for this article.
Sorry I couldn't finish the article due to severe cringing.

Comparing tongue splitters to young people wearing long hair and ragged jeans in the 1960s, he said: "This is the same psychological process, albeit more extreme. Albeit nearly irreversible too.
Somehow it seems a mite easier to shave, get a haircut and change your clothes than it does to recover from mutiliation.

These people are obsessed or worse, possessed!
This is what liberalism begets.
To: finnman69
Split penises, sliced lengthwise in half, are not unheard of among aficionados.I guess if you're going for shock value, that would be right up there.

Yeah, but the thing of it was that one day we could decide to "drop in" and get our hair cut and buy some decent clothes. These guys are going to spend the rest of their lives wearing long sleeved shirts in 90 degree weather to cover up the tattoos on their arms, their cartilege in their noses and ears is going to collapse over time from all of the holes punched through them, and then when they go to pick up a phone to talk to a client/co-worker/employer/tech support they are going to sound like a lisping nancyboy, trying to talk with their split tongues.
I don't think a haircut and wardrobe change is going to render these people employable. Oh well, more freeloaders for the rest of us to take care of.

Which is exactly why I stopped at ear-piercing. If I ever get tired of it I leave the earings out the holes will grow shut and I'll be left with ear dimples as the only reminder.

I guess this is to be expected in a society in which the medical and psychiatric community endorse people changing their sex and aborting the unborn.
