There's one more reason these two filthy scumbags stay married:

The Clintons viscerally hate their critics(enemies) more than they hate each other. Theirs is a marriage genuinely based on hate.

...Who wants a professional victim for president post 9-11

Let us not forget her behavior during GWB's speech to Congress the week after 9-11, with her eye-rolling and generally disrespectful attitude. Perhaps she knew she was toast then.

I think she's looking at 04. I don't think that she can wait til 08...too many things can change the landscape.

I think she'll go for '04 as well. The American tolerance for sleaze in politics is diminishing by the day. And most people think the Bush Admin. is a good and honest one.
hillary's only chance is to run while she can still sow some doubt on his honesty. (There aren't WMD's. The Jews are running his admin. Never mind that all of the scandals about the oil industry didn't work out to her liking)

Howdy

I am thinking the same way. If hitlery waits for '08, she may lose her bid for reelection to the senate in '06, Giuliani is already being touted as her opponent, and a victory for Rudy would be the end of a presidential run before it could begin for the would-be general secretary of the USA's prospective politburo.

She may well choose not to risk it, it depends upon her assessment of her chances of winning reelection to the senate in 2006 against a very popular Rudy Giuliani.

Socialist politians' political fortunes have been diminishing for a generation, with growing momentum.

I agree with you, it is '04 or never for hitlery.

Actually, most of the time I prefer Bill over Hillary, and that's not saying much!

He's a total jerk but I see more true evil in her than in him...

If she had divorced him, after she was elected to the Senate, her popularity quotient would have risen.

Yea, but she was afraid he might become "King of the World", and she'd be left out!! LOL

On another thread re same subject, I attributed Drudge as being the source of this report. No, it was Newsmax. My mistake. sorry! Too many sources, too many "where did I see that quote" errors!

I also think she will run in '04. She will wait until last minute and step in to save the Dims. I do not trust Bradley either, I think he made that statement about the marriage on her behalf or at her behest. She knows her NOW supporters are disappointed in her so best to float another story about the marriage being a sham. She will play whatever angle brings the most support.

And that - high school reunion chatter - is about as close as you're going to get to Clinton from reading "Living History," which is often so impeccably dull that it could easily be inserted whole into the next Wellesley College alumni bulletin. Eight million dollars, unfortunately, did not buy Simon & Schuster any really good dish. Unless you've been in a soundproof booth, you probably already know this. Yes, Clinton was upset about Monica Lewinsky; no, she hadn't known about it; Kenneth Starr is bad; Nelson Mandela is good; when Chelsea was a baby, she bit Bill right on the nose! Also, it's sad when parents die.

THIS IS TOO HILARIOUS!!! LOL!

I feel like I'm the only one in the world who has noticed that Hillary's pain is stated, over and over again, as deriving from being told a falsehood by her husband rather than from the reality that her husband was, in the traditional sense, unfaithful. Without intending to, Hillary has exposed the real payoff of her marriage: unlimited power (evidently with an irresistable compulsion to abuse that power). Hence, Bill's great wrong against Hillary was that by denying the affair to her, he effectively excluded Hillary from the presidential inner circle. Her power to bully and intimidate White House staff and keep federal investigators at bay depended on the appearance being in possession of all information involving the Office of the President (Bill only indirectly). If Hillary was the only one who didn't know the truth about the affair, how powerful was she really? This is what Hillary means when she says she can't believe Bill lied to her. Which is very different, it seems to me, from the all-purpose "I can't believe you cheated on me".

If hitlery waits for '08, she may lose her bid for reelection to the senate in '06,

hillary has to have an overwhelming victory in '06 if she is going to have a chance for the Presidency in '08. That's a real risk. I agree that her window is '04.

She will play whatever angle brings the most support.

And the angle that's been working is "wronged wife".
But that's the best the Dems have for '04. They can't use homeland security, economic health, foreign diplomacy - and they shouldn't be able to use the environment, except that the media hasn't had time to tell the truth about that.

My take on this is that Old Liberal Ben is giving Hitlery the best of two worlds. She can play the injured wife/strong woman card and still stay married to Bubba who raises the funds for her presidential run.

SYMPATHY! I want sympathy. Sniff, sniff. I'm a victim. Please let me be your president to make up for my rotten husband.
