Dear Joshua Kaplowitz:

You really were one stupid, naive son of a b!tch, weren't you? As soon as I read that you were working for the Gore campaign I knew where this story was going.

Sincerely,

Alberta's Child

Give the guy a break. He was just a green kid coming out of college - and he made the choice to actually help people out, rather than pontificate about helping others out while lining his own pockets - like he would have on the Gore campaign.

A conservative is often just a liberal, as the saying goes, who has been mugged by reality.

Mr. Kaplowitz is coming around, and our side can use people like this, who have actually endured the public school system, as witnesses for the prosecution.

Cut the poor guy some slack. He was lied to, and he learned the truth the hard way. He just might become one of us someday, if we're nice to him.

This liberal, unlike most, actually appears to have had a REAL conscience. Naive though he was, he took liberal ideals seriously enough to actually act on them (unlike the Gore campaign which was so shocked by his departure.) And by doing so he ran into REALITY.

And it's precisely this collision of conscience and reality that converts people into conservatives. (Absent a dose of reality, they remain liberals; absent conscience, cynical racism is the likely result.) It's better to convert enemies than insult them, and this guy appears well on the way to conversion.

ROFL to your post #3. I went to Columbia, and you wouldn't beleive how many of my classmates wanted to do stupid crap like this. Of course, I never cared to follow up how things turned out. Anyway, this schmo, i'll bet still votes Democratic and thinks the teachers union is great.
