Check out the California constitution. Only marriage between a man and woman is recognized. And the issue here isn't what Reichen and Chip say--it's what CBS says. Reichen and Chip can call themselves the Queens of England if they want. But if CBS misleadingly broadcasts it as fact--and does so while selling advertising--its arguably prohibited by law.

There is no law against the false assertion of marriage. I cannot call myself a lawyer not just because I am one but because there is a specific law stating that holding yourself out to be a lawyer when you are not one is prohibited by law.
