It's my gut feeling, I think there is more to this story we aren't hearing.

Not that I condone what this idiot did, but I can surely understand the frustrations when some @ssholes won't turn their music down. Imagine that, they died because they wouldn't turn down the music, how tragic.

"Police officers on the scene had this to say, after examining the offending sound system:
" 'The Partridge Family's Greatest Hits'... 'Donny and Marie Go Hawaiian'... 'Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods: Live!'... 'Debby Boone: The Early Raggae Years'... yep. Justifiable homicide. No doubt about it." :)

A man apparently outraged by his neighbors' loud music and late-night partying opened fire on a Miami Beach birthday bash early Sunday, killing three revelers and wounding two others, police said. Criminy, modern society would make John Wesley Hart a footnote on page 6.

The spray of bullets silenced the celebration I bet.
The guy should've tried earplugs combined with protective target-shooting earwear. That combo would keep out the noise of any party.

Several neighbors said that a woman who was injured had a baby in her arms when she was shot and that the bullet just missed the baby's head and hit her shoulder.Lets see, it's 4:00 a.m. and this woman is carrying a baby around at a freaking party? Jezzzzzz. Sounds like these are more people that our government is dumping on us by the freighter full.
I can't imaging living in an apartment building, (I call them civilian barracks) teaming with low life that party at 4:00 in the freaking morning.....I just couldn't deal with it.

Why do I feel something is missing? The man didn't call the police about noise pollution. Living short period in the building. He just ups and shoots because of loud noise? The vics are South American immigrants. Wonder if there's a past history?

Ban music.

AT LEAST 9 BULLETSBang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang band
Lesson to be learned: Even if you are a guest, you still need to respect neibours rights to leave undisturbed in peace, period.

Hopefully lovers of loud stupid music will chill for a while in South Florida. Knowing nothing much about this case I sympathize with the gunner.
A friend goes to the DR for r&r tours if you know what I mean..... He says he always has to leave by 10 days because the constant inane Latino musica starts to drive him nuts.

Multiculturalism means we must accept blaring music at 4am and people who aren't used to having to get up and go off to work with no sleep. Too bad the police don't try to get the music players to tone it down somewhat before it gets this out of hand. I remember parties where the police did do just that.

Several neighbors said that a woman who was injured had a baby in her arms when she was shot and that the bullet just missed the baby's head and hit her shoulder. Now I'm confused, are we supposed to be outraged about the shooting or the woman who had a baby at a 4:00 AM party? ...And if there was smoking at the party, what was the effect of the second hand smoke on that child? ...Plus the loud music could damage the babies hearing forever...
Help me here, where should I place my outrage, I don't want to give anyone a pass.

Kudos to this guy for not wasting taxpayer money by phoning the police. Now if the loud music people had been carrying, this probably would never have happened. Too bad for them.</sarcasm>

Another sad, sad case of second-hand music leading to death.

Lets see, it is a common sense case. At 4 am MOST people in this country are asleep. At 4 am babies being woken up should be just hungry and need their diapers changed. At 4 am babies should not be woken up by a party in the house. At 4 am, the police should be cruising by a QUIET apartment building making sure no one is prowling around. At 4 am, a man should not be running around the neighborhood with a loaded gun confronting people. I work night shifts for my job and the fact is, at night, I am quiet when I am home. Every single neighbor around me is asleep and I respect that. During the day, earplugs work fine to filter out the lawnmowers, kids in pools, etc. If the simple common sense rules in life are followed, stupid incidents like this don't happen.

Nice to see that Miami is still Miami. Almost like the "cocaine cowboys" days.

By city ordinance, music should not be audible within 100 feet of a residence after 11 p.m., police said. So, it's ok if the music is audible beyond 100 ft, so long as it isn't audible within 100 feet?

The Vaughan Monroe album is what pushed him over the edge.

I wonder what type of music was playing. I doubt it was something lovely like "Girl From Ipanema".
