SANTA FE, New Mexico (Reuters) -- Legendary Western outlaw Billy the Kid is supposed to have died after pistol shots rang through the night in the New Mexico desert 122 years ago, and a local sheriff's office has reopened the books on the event to find out just who shot whom.

I read a book that indicted that though wounded, Billy the Kid went to western New Mexico and lived there on a small ranch until he went into an old folks home in the middle 1930's.
This will be interesting.

I thought DNA tests had already been done on hair samples from a supposed william bonnet grave? I thought this was resolved years ago? Maybe that just proved that a supposed body was not william bonnet's? Interesting stuff nonetheless.
