Our revenge must be absolute, swift, and terrifying.

Exactly. I like the way you phrased it.

We've been informed by the democrat poodles and their minions in the press yapping at President Bush that the war on Iraq was a distraction that prevented us from fighting the war on terror.

Excellent post...poodle democrats...tears to eyes.. :)

"The war in Afghanistan caught al Qaeda's leaders off guard. Bin Laden's top people were convinced the United States would respond to 9/11 with merely a volley of cruise missiles, interrogations later showed."

And just where do you suppose they got THAT impression?

This much is clear: America waited too long to join the fray...

Now, which President can be fingered for this little oversight?

Bob was making a rapid recovery

This BOB would pay good money for an opportunity to interview "half-dead bob."

The war in Afghanistan caught al Qaeda's leaders off guard. Bin Laden's top people were convinced the United States would respond to 9/11 with merely a volley of cruise missiles, interrogations later showed. By late 2001, the U.S.-led assault had taken out al Qaeda's camps and headquarters, killed hundreds of its followers, and driven the Taliban from power. So rapid was the advance that bin Laden's operatives left behind a motherlode of intelligence--address books, videos, computers, and more. Nearly 100 places yielded valuable intelligence, from caves to training centers. Among the key finds: rosters of trainees at al Qaeda facilities, which gave the CIA a handle on the tens of thousands of jihadists who had passed through some 50 camps across Afghanistan

Good thing that GW ain't Clinton. Clinton weakened our national security and we lived too long under a false sense of security. As a matter of fact, the terrorists grew increasingly defiant under the Clinton administration.

One side effect of nailing most of A-Q's senior leadership is that the remaining terrorists are allowed to bomb Saudi Arabia and Morrocco because they have no adult supervision. This annoys the locals and alienates their affections away from A-Q.

Thanks, I have bookmarked it to send to the next rat in congress who claims that GW has dropped the ball re handling the terrorists.

The reality is, many terrorists have been dropped dead, neutalized, vaporized or imprisoned since 9/11.

Pokey has posted an excellent reality look at what has happened to al Qaeda since 9/11.

Our revenge must be absolute, swift, and terrifying.

And well publicized. Photos of dead terrorists and imprisoned terrorists must be distributed widely, where it will do the most good.

Absolutely. And it wouldn't hurt to take out a few of their familys, either. Terrorism is an idea. You can't kill ideas with guns, but you can make them damned reluctant to act on them.

Thanks for the post. Great read.

I need to think about all that is in it. It clearly means we are winning but we might have a gorgon to deal with now. No time for laurals and certainly no time to even THINK of letting liberals get at the controls.
