This country has many challenges. We will not deny, we will not ignore, we will not pass along our problems to other Congresses, to other presidents, and other generations. (Applause.) We will confront them with focus and clarity and courage... Sending Americans into battle is the most profound decision a President can make. The technologies of war have changed; the risks and suffering of war have not. For the brave Americans who bear the risk, no victory is free from sorrow. This nation fights reluctantly, because we know the cost and we dread the days of mourning that always come.
- We seek peace. We strive for peace. And sometimes peace must be defended. A future lived at the mercy of terrible threats is no peace at all. If war is forced upon us, we will fight in a just cause and by just means -- sparing, in every way we can, the innocent. And if war is forced upon us, we will fight with the full force and might of the United States military -- and we will prevail. (Applause.)

Here's an interesting perspective to 'lens' the issue of SCOTUS nominees with
:
There are an estimated 15,000 to 35,000 late term abortions each year in America; of these abortions (all late term abortions beyond the 16th week are done to babies who are alive and sensing as proven by scientific testing), only at most 1500 are done to save a woman's life; the democrat party is championing the continuation of what is the indefensible, the protected right to hire a serial killer to slaughter 13,500 to 34,500 sensing, alive babies waiting to be born, each year; that is what these candidates like Sen Edwards are ardently defending, the horrific killing of these little ones waiting to be born, little ones who are alive, awake, sensing, able to feel the excruciating pain of the murder by a hired serial killer.
Yes, abortion beyond the 16th week from conception is painful for the baby being killed! THAT is what the DNC and McAwful stand for, stand up to defend and champion the continuation of. The DNC is squarely on the line for defending 'murder, inc.'
Democrats, the defenders of Murder Incorporated as enlightened social policy.
The Democrat Party, party of murder to stabilize society and cannibalism to treat your ills.

I like when you intersperse the
good side in your exposés of the Clinton admin., as you do in
Q ERTY 6 with President Bush.
Nevertheless, it's always a treat to read your latest posts.

Watching the Sunday talking head shows has lost it's charm for me lately.. It's the re-resurrection of the Clinton leftovers, and in my house leftovers have substance. I have lost every bit of interest in hearing anyone from that era, for even a 15 minute segment. I've given up on newspapers, and magazines, and now Sunday morning... geeeze
Maybe watching old movies, made before the 60's is back in vogue, when the endings where always happy, and the bad guys where always caught, and only the good guys won.....mumbling
