Azalea's don't grow that well this high up in altitude...it's too cold for them. Thankfully rhodo's thrive up here.
I plant a few every year...all different colors and variations. Here's a different view of my iris bed...

I love Iris. An old fashioned plant, like Hollyhock and Gladiolas and Lilies - I love the English Garden Effect.

Those are so very beautiful, Aquamarine, as are the rhododendrons. I can appreciate all the hard work it takes to maintain them. Is your soil heavy clay there?
