Some news program was talking about a major lawsuit between Disney and the owners of Winnie the Pooh rights. If the old ladies who own the rights to Winnie the Pooh wins the case then Disney is facing massive losses.

Seems like if we can help those ladies win that case then Disney will be hurt more than a boycott and the Stockholders will force Eisner out.

That was the author's granddaughter. She's trying to renegotiate the rights of ownership (the author sold them off long ago). She has already said that she would continue licensing the characters to Disney if she wins.

What's ridiculous is that Pooh was authored in 1924. Disney keeps pushing back the dates for extending copyrights when they should eventually expire. She may only be able to continue ownership of the characters as a result of Disney's influence on legislators.
