North Korea NEEDS things from us...We are negotiating from a position of strength, while your ideas force us to capitulate and lose face... a sure recipe for dis-respect from the likes of Kim Jong Il.

I think the Bush Administration will eventually do exactly what I am saying. Appeasement requires sacrifice. Signing a piece of meaningless paper (which has been encouraged already by South Korea and Japan), requires no sacrifice.

Exactly right - That kind of thinking is what got us into a lot of this mess -
Remember when Al Gore signed the Kyoto accords ? ...
... or when his boss signed that peace plan that they are now trying to use as a "pardon" for the terrorist ?
