I've long said that the UN should move to Paris. Think of all the parking that would be freed up in Manhattan. Of course SHAPE is already in Paris and the frogs don't participate there, either.

I'm pretty certain that SHAPE is in Mons, Belgium. Paris does think they run the joint though.

I was there in 1987 visiting my Dad who worked there at the time (US Army).

That being said, Mons city is about like Paris, just as dirty but on a smaller scale. Belgium's a split country. The French influenced side was kind of slummy (Mons). The Dutch side is neat as a pin. The contrast was amazing.
