I'm astounded at some conservatives blowing things out of all proportion. Whatever one thinks of Bill Bennett's gambling interest, the point is he's always been open about it. And its legal. Contrast that to Bill Clinton's committing perjury and shading the truth to avoid acknowledging what every one knew was a moral sin against his wife and against public morality. That was illegal. There's no parallel between both men's conduct. The Left's attempts at moral equivalence will coming to nothing. We conservatives have a duty not to aid and abet their loathsome politics of personal destruction.

I like Bennett fine....I agree with him probably 80%...which is good.
But dropping 600K in a year gambling or maybe even 8M overall as some say....if true...does not bear well for anyone's judgement in my view regardless of their wealth.
And the "common man" is in no way going to comprehend all of it positively and of course the media will make hay.
I know all about risk, I'm a self employed real estate developer and investor but throwing rather large sums of money at simple chance is compulsive at best. I hope he addresses this and works it out.
