Fortunately, our Jewish brothers and sisters have read the Word of God from the Talmud ...

Many of the Iraqi people have been fed propaganda from other sources, including that which fuels Saudi Arabia ...

Saudi Arabia, where neither a Jewish Synagogue nor Christian Church is allowed ...

from the Koran: "oh you who believe! (in Islam) take not the Jew nor Christian as friends"

PRINCE SULTAN: FANATICS WANT CHURCHES IN SAUDI ARABIA

"There are no Churches (in Saudi Arabia)
-- not in the past, the present or future"

Years ago I recall hearing a middle eastern writer saying he truly felt that the middle east was surrounded by or living inside some metaphysical evil entity, some hate-filled deamon

I wrote about this here and here last August, where I posit that the daemon was not Mohammed, but the black rock dwelling in the Kaaba.

My own words scare me. They do not fully express my view of the complex history between Islam and the rest of the world. On the one hand, I cannot deny my perception of the implacable malevolence that I sense radiating outward from Mecca.

On the other, the conclusions to be drawn from this perception are terribly depressing. There has to be some way out of this that does not end with us killing untold millions of Arabs.

To an amazing degree, the Baghdad-based press corps avoids writing about or filming the friendly dealings between U.S. forces here and the local population....

Thanks for the corrective from the Weekly Standard. I am more inclined to think the real ingrates are the western presstitutes and 1st Amendment charlatans.
