Had we really not been neutral, we'd have let Israel hit back a lot harder. We would not be asking them to show restraint after every one of these barbaric murder-suicide bombings. We'd be letting them kick butt and take names.
Our problem is that we have not been willing to hit back. Our problem is that we have been acting ashamed to support the only democracy in the MidEast. Our problem is that we have not tempered their hatred of us with fear as to what WILL happen if they act upon their hatred in a murderous fashion.
What about the fact that Palestinian gunmen from Arafat's own faction went to assist Saddam Hussein in the war we just concluded? The Palestinians are siding with our enemies. Why should they have any reward for that course of action?

Back in the eighties neocon meant something totally different, and I was happy to have 'em on board. If the meaning of the term has morphed into meaning jewish american conservative, fantastic.
Recently however the self-styled 'neocons' on this site are doing their level best to convince that the term now means 'insufferably obnoxious elitist blowhard who happens to be fiscally conservative' and suddenly I'm having second thoughts.

Could you translate your post #16 for me? It reads so much better in the original German.

Pretty priceless, isn't it? In times past, a guy could make statements like that over his adult life, but no one would be able to compile it, and taking each one alone does not afford a fair picture.
Putting them all together makes it real clear as to his motivation and his agenda.

The era of Bill Clinton "patty-cake diplomacy" is over.Until we have another Crat in the WH. How would Mrs. Clinton respond to a nuke in Brooklyn? Or Gephardt?
To: Always Right
Reagan's response to Beirut was weak. And it may well be that militarily we weren't up to it at that precise time. The military was drawn heavily since VN and RR had not had the chance to rebuild it yet. Reagan's victory over the USSR would not have affected the arabs because it was done with resolve, plain speech, and money. We did not lay waste to Moscow.

Yes, it does. EXCELLENT work!!!
:)
This guy has the neo-conservative messgae right: Stay strong, hitback, and STOP APOLOGIZING!

First of all, my apologies for calling you names the other day. I was having a bad day, so please realize that's not normally my style. That said, what exactly does "5" mean? I've seen it used quite a bit here on FR, and never understood. Or is it a cheese/moose type of thing?

It is a jab at the Loserdopian/Musket toting Constitutionalists who complain about Federal Government conspiracies etc, etc.
A reference to the Fifth column of Conservative politics.
