Following is the text of US President George W Bush's address to the nation late today from the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln nuclear aircraft carrier.

Admiral Kelly, Captain Card, officers and sailors of the USS Abraham Lincoln, and my fellow Americans: Major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed. And now our coalition is engaged in securing and reconstructing that country.

In this battle, we have fought for the cause of liberty, and for the peace of the world. Our Nation and our coalition are proud of this accomplishment.

Yet it is you, the members of the United States military, who achieved it. Your courage, your willingness to face danger for your country and for each other made this day possible. Because of you, our nation is more secure. Because of you, the tyrant has

That, coming from Greenpeace, a group of people who want to save mosquitos, human diseases, and assorted parasites, all living things which are responsible for killing people by the millions. If these people had popped up too early in human history we'd be extinct and large man eating cats would rule the world.

Sorry, I guess I misunderstood what you were referring to. I thought you were talking about to all caps I use in my comment line. It didn't occur to me that you were pointing out what you explained about the links going away in the future.

Our war against terror is proceeding according to principles that I have made clear to all:

- Any person involved in committing or planning terrorist attacks against the American people becomes an enemy of this country, and a target of American justice.

- Any person, organisation, or government that supports, protects, or harbours terrorists is complicit in the murder of the innocent, and equally guilty of terrorist crimes.

- Any outlaw regime that has ties to terrorist groups, and seeks or possesses weapons of mass destruction, is a grave danger to the civilised world, and will be confronted.

- And anyone in the world, including the Arab world, who works and sacrifices for freedom has a loyal friend in the United States.

Staying on message rather well. Isn't that pretty much the same as he said back in 2001?

"You are either with us or against us".

The real message, and one that needs to be heard in Damascus, Poonyang and other such homes to thuggish regimes.

This man is rapidly becoming a national Treasure. His heart and soul are with the everyday American, the soldier, the worker, the common folks. What have we done to deserve a leader such as this? exactly when we needed one. God Bless President Bush!. The left will never love you. They never loved Reagan, either.
